A couple items from the world of CU Golf.

1st, don't see a cubuffs.com article about it, but especially since it's local event, wanted to mention the Buff men are hosting their annual Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational at the Boulder Country Club today and tomorrow.

Looks like the 1st round has just started via live results available at http://www.golfstatresults.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=team&tid=8964 .

Also, although early in the season, wanted to mention that, per the below tweet, both the Buff women in general and Esther Lee in particular are off to very good starts this year, as the Buffs are now ranked #11, and Esther Lee #3 (as the tweet says, highest ranking EVER for a Buff) in the country by Golfweek . Congrats to the team and Ms. Lee!

Also, looks like after the 3rd and final round, the Buffs came back and tied U. of Missouri- Kansas City for the tournament championship, with both ending at +7. Per livestats- " There will be no playoff due to lightening in the area. Rain came in just as the teams were finishing. Congrats to Colorado and UMKC for splitting the team title and UMKC's Antoine Rozner for medalist honors."

Golfers Rally Late To Win Share Of Mark Simpson Invitational

BOULDER — The University of Colorado men’s golf team turned in the best team score in the final round here Tuesday, as the Buffaloes rallied from a five-shot deficit to share the title in their own 6th annual Mark Simpson-CU Invitational.

It’s the third straight year and fourth time overall that the Buffs have won or shared the tournament crown, winning outright in 2011 and 2014 and sharing the honor in 2013 prior to this season.
