BOULDER — The University of Colorado men’s golf team will open the 2013-14 season Sunday, as the Buffaloes will be one of 16 teams competing in the 45th Annual Gene Miranda-Falcon Invitational just down Interstate 25 at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The tournament commences Sunday with two rounds, the first of which gets underway with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start; the final round is Monday with a 7:30 start.
Colorado head coach Roy Edwards said the team is excited about the season, which will be his eighth in Boulder and could very well turn out to be his best team. The Buffaloes are coming off a year where they returned to the NCAA Championship Regionals and finished as the nation’s No. 58 ranked program.
