The Fusker PinkShirts give up 60 in this one
I hate to say this, but this game reminds me of the OU/CU game last year. At least the perception of the game leading into it. Mizzery will be a huge favorite, on the road in a conference game against a team that is looking for redemption.
As much as I'd love to see a good old fashioned ass whoopin put on the pink skirts, I think this game will be close.
Mizzou hasn't beat NU in Lincoln since 1978. That's a long freaking time. NU is a tough place to play, even when you do have a really good team.
I think Mizzou rolls, but this is their first real road test this year. If NU wins it'll be close. Prediction MU 35 NU 14. Mizzou won't run too much and they'll expose some glaring weaknesses though.
I think this will end up being score fest (like the TT vs OSU game last year).
Mizzou's O is great but their D sucks. It seems like their strategy is "we're not going to stop you, we're just going to score faster". Their O will put up a bunch of points on the pink shirts without much of a challenge but I think Mizzou's starting D will allow the fuskers and shortbus enough early success to think they can keep pace with Chase & Co. With 5 min left in the 3rd the fuskers will just run out of steam and Mizzou will pull away. No one on the fusker D will be getting their coveted pink shirt for this Saturday's performance.
It will be a bloodletting.
This could be another one of the fuskers famous 70's. They enjoy giving up 70:thumbsup:
Saw somewhere that Pellini expects them to shut out, yes I said SHUT OUT, Missery. Cant find the article right now
Pelini: Nebraska aims for shutout vs. Missouri
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini apparently is not quaking in his boots about Missouri's offense, which comes into Lincoln averaging 54 points and nearly 600 yards per game.
Isn't that the goal for every defense every week? Look let's be honest here, they are going to score and score big. I will be surprised if we don't lose by more than 17 points. Having said that we have nothing to lose so just let everthing hang out and try and keep up with them is all we can do. Besides OU this will be the best team we face this season so we have nothing to lose.
I have no problem with what he said. In fact the way and words he choose came across pretty much like we are going to play the game to shut them out and win, let them (mizzou) prove me wrong if they can.
I jut posted the link as jjbuff13 misplaced where he read it....
oh btw, lots of football to be played before 11/1....
Is the thread really necessary? Yes...we know we're playin missou....we're hoping for a victory....but were not ****ing retarded.
Methinks you doth protest too much....:smile2:
Yaa...would you even know if you were? :smile2:
Yeah, but secretly you are hoping your beloved cornhole boys prove you wrong and give you a convincing win so you can announce "we're back" in a 'in your face' tone to all the people who said the Fuskers suck and will never be what they used to be. I hate to shatter your dreams (well actually I love it :smile2 but the fuskers suck and you will never be what you used to be. :haha:
:rip: cornholio :rip: 3
In this article Pellini said their goal was to try to shut them out. I think MU will score at least 40 against the pink shirts, and send their fans home early.
Don't sell yourself short. You're incredibly ****ing retarded.
I believe that every Big 12 team at home has a better then decent chance at beating anyone they play. Now with that said there are three outstanding teams this year in the conference and I will be surprised if all of them are still not undefeated in time for the Red River game. The three best quarterbacks in the nation may be the QB's from UT, OU, and Mizzou.
The way Missou has started off, I don't see how the huskers will even hang here. Doesn't Chase Daniels have more Touchdowns than Incompletions? MU might hit 80 before this game's over.
Well if that's the case so be it.....at least we were once ya know. Unlike some other big 12 tea................awww now I feel bad....I'm not gonna go there.
Go on and go there. We don't get too many ISU/OSU/KU/Tech/Baylor trolls around here.
you should probably remove KU from that line since they beat us and pasted NU last year.
 Nice redirect......................
KU ain't won sh!t yet. They still belong in that category until they prove differently. MU at least has a B12 North title.
They won the Orange Bowl.
They won nothing? I mean this is borderline husker talk.
