Wow, that would be a coup for the Big Ten. Though tag-along A&M is the least deserving...

For their sake I hope they get into the Big 10. I doubt UT and A&M will be part of that equation though

I can't envision how a school the size of Mizzou, located smack dab inbetween two major metropolitan areas, being the only D-1 school in the state, in the population center of the United States, could possibly be left out of a major D-1 conference. It simply doesn't make any sense. They have too much going for them. More, in fact, than Nebraska does.

    This.

Don't understand it either. I like Mizzou a lot, solid athletics/academics, two big TV markets. Unfortunately, many Big Ten schools think they are too good for Mizzou.

Perhaps they remember the '90s, when Mizzou was as relevant as ISU.

they will absolutely get into the Big 10, they are as good a fit for that conference as we are /were for the PAC 11.

I don't know much about Mizzou academics aside from their Journalism school which is top-notch. Athletically they're solid in football (at the moment) and basketball (frequently). I wish them luck.

If he were still going to be around in another three years, I'm sure Hawkins would be glad to be rid of Missouri. Hey Hawk, have you figured out how to put pressure on an injured quarterback yet?

In my last post I nearly mentioned that I'd miss your rants about our inability to pressure Mizzou's quarterback. Now I'm sorry I didn't include it.

I am pretty sure the B10 still has an eye on Mizzou. IMO, the only way the B10 expands now is if they get ND. I don't think UT will work, I might be wrong, but Mizzou sits this one out until ND comes along.

If ND says "Us and no one else", the Big 10 will say fine and NU could get hosed too. I just have a funny feeling no conference really wants to go bigger than 12, and 16 is a ploy to get the big boys on board fast.

I think the most likely outcome is the B12 stays together, minus CU,:dance:and UT pulls in a CU replacement, and a NU replacement. If I had to guess, BYU, Utah and TCU would be the Big 12 replacements, in that order. Of course, Utah may be off the table if they go PAc 10. EIther way, the MWC will be raided and still be on the outside looking in vis a vis the BCS.

Boise St. to B-12 in place of CU. That would close the DH loop.

more like there would actually be "junk in the trunk" and "Boise mojo" instead of "doing things the right way" and being taught that Dan Hawkins is the only person on planet earth who ever listened to Van Morrison.
