Disclaimer: I am a life-long husker who went to UT for school, so I am not exactly a big fan of CU. I do, however, believe that NU and CU have developed a nice rivalry in the last decade (something most husker fans deny for some reason). I think that CU needs to remain competitive in the Big 12 north otherwise the South will continue to use us as the whipping boy division.

Do you guys think that the added pressure of Cody trying to keep his dad from losing his job will negatively affect him from here on out? I know that if my dad's job was in my hands I would be very very nervous, to say the least. If CU had won against Toledo, that might not have been as big of a deal. Now, with CU facing a long and bad season, it could start to creep into his mind.

I don't know the full story with that redshirt QB, but it seems like there is yet another reason to burn the redshirt and just start building for next season.

First off, welcome to the board. I attended UT as well. Was always interesting to meet students there who were fans of another Big 12 school. Very few to be found.

My opinion on Cody is that his struggles, besides the existing athletic limitations, will now be trying to play through a concussion. He's already trying to overachieve to compensate for himself and especially his overmatched teammates/coaches, and doing it at less than 100% health wise may prove more disastrous. He's out there trying to win, regardless of his prior relation to the coach. He knows what happens to the coach when the players can't produce wins. Just the business of the game.

When you see cody overthrowing wide open deep receivers(Scott on one play, Simmons on another), which he didn't do as a freshman, its hard not to think that he's pressing, whether its because of the flack his dad is taking I don't know.

Keep this in mind, though, his own job is on the line too, and that would be enough to make anybody press. I hope he's really okay for this week's game because that hit was nasty.

And welcome to the board by the way.
