Going to be slowly transitioning to a flexbone offense in my CU dynasty. The game plays a lot better than any of the previous ones, the new engine is really good and it translates well to making the gameplay more realistic. The coaching tree talents are cool as well.
For 360 guys, http://www.operationsports.com/foru...ial-ncaa-2014-os-community-rosters-360-a.html
That's the OS community rosters, but they won't be touching ratings. Probably be done quickly.
I'm probably gonna use these
They'll be working on rating as well, and I believe their ratings are usually accurate. Will take a while.
Given how improved the option offense is according to other sites, it's making me think about getting a PS3 (again).
I'm thinking about going and picking this up in a couple hours. I was torn between this and NHL '14, but will probably end up getting both
Wait, when did bb2 start working for EA?
I won 37-7 over CSU. We're rated higher by 6 points fwiw. The game also froze after
Rosters: 360 - PastaPadre
PS3 - JeffDLowe
Beat CSU 35 - 0. Struggled with interceptions vs Arkansas Whatever University but ended up running for 200+ yards and winning 24 - 10. CU's secondary sucks ass.
I bought last years edition after not upgrading for a few years, I liked the new features. But what separates this year from the last? I'll probably buy it but when Madden comes out I'll switch.
Totally different engine and much better blocking all around
It's actually markedly different. Recruiting has been overhauled, there are skill trees in dynasty mode, and the gameplay is different. I haven't played enough to weigh in on the changes yet.
While I like the idea of the skill trees, im worried that they will just cause the rich to get richer in online dynasties. You already had that force with recruiting and I think this might just add to the problem.
Created Kalen Ballage in my dynasty basing his stats off of a similar player from the 2013 class, came in as the #1 recruit and I'm behind LSU by 250 to land him. The kid has insane measurables in this game.
Agreed. The blocking was crap last year. Linemen and fullbacks would run right by tacklers without even laying a finger on them. It's vastly improved this season.
everyone is saying this. to the demo I go!
I believe I uploaded an accurate CU roster. I only touched CU's roster after dowloading the rest from PastaPadre. GT: CU Buffs FTW
So if i already started my dynasty can I load your updated roster or do I have to restart?
I think you have to restart and then dl the roster.
Not sure how well I like so far. CU's defense is really, really bad, so it's realistic on that level.
I had to go to OT to beat "Central Arkansas." Btw, did anyone DL my roster? Thoughts?
Jordan Gehrke is a true Soph.
I'm 4 and 0. Oregon looms.
The blocking is significantly better. But it makes you realize how our offense has potential. Vincent Hobbs replaced PRich as a playmaker in the 4th game. I lost to Fresno State so 2-1 so far on Heisman
Our defense is so ****ing bad in this game.
Is the game worth buying? I bought NCAA '12 and some friends and I did an online dynasty. The problem is that if you buy the newer version of the game, you lose your now-outdated dynasty. Is this still likely the case?
Also, is the game significantly different than '12 or '13?
It's not significantly different, but it is different. There is a kinda a RPG deal going on with coaches where you get points as you win or complete tasks. The points can be used to level up your coaches which improves onfield performance or recruiting. I'm not sure I'll like this with online dynasties, but it's kinda fun with CPU dynasties.
Also, as mentioned, the blocking is better. I basically gave up running in the last edition because it was so frustrating to watch my blockers just run by players who would end up tackling my dude.
There is also some trading card thing where you can play with classic players that I haven't quite figured out yet.
CU's D and overall depth is horrible. I had to over-rate some guys so in '14 the team wouldn't be starting 5+ guys in the 60's
I got Jalil Brown in one. I haven't started it however
Who'd you overrate? I just moved some QBs to other positions like LT and CB and it fixed a lot of issues.
I picked CU and played my little nephew when I was in Montana. Our D is horrible and slow as ****. He had Ole Miss and I couldn't keep up with their speed, tried everything. Next game I took Louisville and he ran LSU, I beat that ass 56-17, go figure.
