NC State got another opening day injury scare with Russell Wilson, who appears to be 100%.
#18 Iowa (0-1) (CU Buffs FTW - sliderNcider)
Oregon State (0-1) (NMBuff - NMBuff)
RB Jacquizz Rodgers look to have a big game for the Beavers, who don't have an away game until Week 8.

slider, what time is good for you this week? I don't login to my XBox with regularity so this is the best way to reach me. I should be free just about any day this week after 9pm.

The sad thing is that the div II opponent I'll be facing is making me nervous.

    GT 48 - Virginia Tech 21

The Yellow Jackets never looked back after a 9 yd fumble return for a TD sprung a 21-7 lead. QB Josh Nesbitt had 300 total yards (209p/91r), 3 TDs and no turnovers. QB Tyrod Taylor was 18-37 for 282 yds, 2TD/2INT, 1 fumble.

My schedule is looking pretty brutal right now:

    @ #24 UCLA - W 41-24
    #5 LSU - W 51-24
    @ #9 NC State - (1-0)
    Virginia Tech - (0-1)
    Michigan State - (0-0)
    @ Ohio St - (0-2)
    Nebraska - (2-0)
    #6 Penn St - (0-0)
    @ #20 Clemson - (1-0)
    @ #4 Georgia Tech - (2-0)
#18 Iowa - (0-1) - Especially if slider comes back by this time
    @ Illinois - (0-1)

Also, here are a couple highlights from the UCLA/USF game:

    First quarter, 0-0

Fourth quarter - Believe I was up by 21, but rebel scored, recovered an onside kick and scored again.. all in about 2 minutes.

    On the ensuing kickoff:

Commisioner rule. Most everyone loves the Buffs and plays with them in offline Dynasty mode, so whoever would be the Buffs would have a familiarity advantage. Also, I would have a hard time bringing myself to slaughter the Buffs.

CU is a juggernaut in this dynasty. Would be unfair.

I'm really dreading playing any real competition. I usually get slaughtered when I play people online and I only beat wyoming 1/2 the time when in my offline dynasty with CU. I can't seem to progress through my receivers fast enough on offense and on defense when I blitz I get burned by the QB and when I don't the QB has FOREVER to pass. Anyone have any tips?

Am I supposed to be audibling every down and constantly using the defensive shifts and keys and stuff?

I audible quite a bit... find a formation that has good quick audibles and use those...

Well, you have a few weeks to get better before you play your first human (me). Beating the CPU 63-7 is a good start, even if it was a D2 team. As you play more, you will notice several "ah-ha" moments where you find yourself improving by leaps. Continue to play people online, as you get tips from how other people play, and even the worst beatdown can lead to improvement.

I wanted to let everyone know that I wont be able to play my game until the weekend most likely. It has been a very busy week at work. I'll jump on as soon as I have some free time.

Thanks for waiting everybody, I'm done.

I am official the worst QB ever. I have no idea how I could do so well in an offline dynasty on all american. I did take Ufs QB out of the game, not sure how long after though. Their back up made me look like crap. He completed a 51 yd hailmary as time expired in the first half. I ended up losing 51-31, pretty terrible. I had some good plays but there were plenty of terrible ones to let them score.

All in all a terrible game by me. the computer sure does love those high ranking opponents. I wonder how many transfers after this year. It's just really not my week.
