Week 3 Matchups

Virginia Tech (0-2) (chefbcs85 - buff4bcs1985)
#1 South Florida (3-0) (CUwhit21 - CUwhit21)

In our Dynasty Game of the Week, USF and VA Tech knock heads. The Hokies will try and slow down RB Mike Ford, the Bulls leading rusher and receiver. The Bulls are #1 in TOs.
#3 Georgia Tech (3-0) (Bradical28 - BuffNut99)

BYE
Tech is sporting the nation's #1 receiver (in TDs, YPC) and DE (sacks, TFL).
#4 West Virginia 34 (2-1)
#21 Nebraska 52 (4-0)
Huskers seem to be improving weekly...
Michigan (1-2) (DocRowe - BuffTuba)
#9 Oklahoma (0-1) (CPU)
Michigan got off the schnide in Corvallis, but Norman might be a different story.

#11 NC State (1-1) (NevrSummer - SnowBuff)

USC (1-1) (CPU)
NC State couldn't get over the hump against South Florida - again. They can't afford a letdown against USC.
#25 Iowa (1-2) (CU Buffs FTW - sliderNcider)
#16 Clemson (2-0) (CPU)
Iowa is still ranked despite two early losses; Clemson looking good early.
#22
Arizona
(2-1) (Von Snoot - Von Snoot)

BYE
Zona is sporting the #1 passing offense in the land - a significant departure from last season.
UCLA (1-2) (rebel1414 - rebel1414)
Oregon State (0-3) (NMBuff - NMBuff)

Bad news: both teams need a win here. Good news: both teams undefeated in conference play.
Utah State (0-2) (CPU)
Wisconsin (2-1) (anteaterer - Daaah)
Daaah gets another warm up game - all sorts of obstacles on the horizon.

Good. I get another week to learn how to pass and play defense. I've finally figured out the facemask bit. That was KILLING me.

Do any of you rabid CU fans watch American Idol? Your long-snapper was on the other night. He basically came across as a COMPLETE douchebag who thinks he's God's gift. And he's a terrible singer.

Oh on offense I had very little response for Ford for very long and depressing stretches. But "looping" is done on defense...

Whit plays a very specific type of defense, and controls the DE, and then "loops" around the offensive line to take out the QB. the AI on the Oline can't handle it. I watched literally the entire left side of my line AND the RB I had blocking him just watch him loop around and then crush my QB. A few times. The only way to handle it is to either run right at him, or have a mobile QB and stay super tight in the pocket and pray to god hes not bringing pressure up the middle or from the other side. I guess you could also motion in WR's to block him out wide, but its a bitch to deal with. I figured it out, but it was still ****ing hard to handle. Only reason my game was close is because Russel Wilson is one hell of a BA.

Still, he won that game on Offense, I couldn't stop him when it counted. Not an excuse. Just defining the tactic for you guys. Its pretty common online.

Just a note, anyone who wants to VGamble on this week's games must do so by 5pm MDT today (only three lines are out).

Thought that was what you meant.. Buffnut uses that too..

You have your SS blitz tactic on anything shotgun that is a bitch to deal with. Against you two, I'm force to avoid running Shotgun formations.

at least thats a blitz package. leaves me very vulnerable to the big play. and its extremely easy to deal with. The DE loop thing is an every down killer and keeps your safeties deep. but ya, its a ****er if you are in a hurry.

******BREAKING NEWS******

UPSET OF THE YEAR AS UNRANKED VIRGINA TECH SHOCKS #1 USF IN TAMPA

[IMG] Leeroy Jenkins-- Blacksburg Post

Tampa, Florida-- In what can only be described as the most shocking upset in recent memory; the unranked Hokies marched into Raymond James Stadium and took the #1 ranked University of South Florida (3-1) out behind the woodshed for an unbelievable 55-35 upset. The Hokies (1-2) were massive underdogs by 26.5 points according to the lines in Las Vegas. Hokies Quarterback Tyrod Taylor was ecstatic after the victory,” We Shocked the World, Baby!!! No one gave us a chance in this game, but Coach (BCS) told us to play within ourselves and the game would be ours.” The Hokies got out to a flying start with a 39-yard connection between Taylor and Danny Coale. With 0:45 seconds remaining in the first the Hokies struck again this time on a 15 yard pass and catch from Taylor to Jarrett Boykin, making it 14-0. Early in the second USF got on the scoreboard with a 50-yard M. Bonani field goal to bring the score 14-3. On the next series it seemed disaster struck for VT, when Taylor went down with an apparent hip injury, However Taylors back up finished the drive with a 1-yard td pass to his TE, and Edwards bring the score to 21-3. USF continued to fight back, with a 1-yard TD pass. Taylor then came back into the game and on the first play from scrimmage following the USF TD, Taylor connected with Darren Evans on a 73-yard catch and run bring the halftime score 28-10. In the 2nd half, USF battled back and got it within 8-points but that was as close as it got as Freshman LB Shannon Perry recovered a fumble and took it back 46 yards sealing the victory. Coach BCS commented after the game on the condition of WR Derrick McCoy who broke a bone in his upper arm saying,”You know… it’s tough when a kid like (McCoy) goes down like that... He’s put in so much effort this year on and off the field and it’s just a shame that it had to happen like that”.

USF's loss definitely helps Snow, it doesn't help me that much as I still need to beat CUwhit to accomplish any of my goals (or fulfill my promises...)

BCS, was your battle cry going into the game, by any chance, LEEROY JEEENKINS?

Crappy way to record my first loss in this thing.. stupid work trips. As long as I can only miss the next game and the cpu can beat Michigan St (think that's my next game), I'm still not out of it.

I just need buffnut to beat snow at the end of the season and to run the table.
