I beat OKCBuff 42 -14 in a game that was closer than the score indicates. It was 22 - 14 going into the fourth. Turnovers were the difference as I picked him off 4 times. Good game.

    Someone write a recap here:

Looks like AZ St.'s backup QB was bringing 'em back until the 4th.

Yeah, I might have to make a QB shift from here on out. That dude is 6-8!

Daah is right -- it was actually a decent game. One of those picks was crazy, but other than that his defense just played great. I know my bunch is 0-2, but both games they hung in there for a time. Oh well -- onward to the next week!

I'll write my thoughts on the game this evening, BuffNut.

Arky wins 42-28 in a barn burner of a game. Both teams stressed the running game, especially early. In the first half, Arkansas only got the ball on offense 2 times, but took a 21-14 lead into halftime after a little luck, a good playcall, and a good read actually had an LB in the backfield in time to snatch a TOSS out of the air and return it for a touchdown. That play changed the whole game. When I managed to get Nut to punt to start the 2d half (the ONLY punt of the game), things started getting out of hand.

I marched down the field and scored to make it 28-14. Arkys wideouts are not highly rated, but they are fast as ****. On the next possession Nut got a little out of sorts and threw a bad pick on 3d and long. On went the time eating and Arky just rolled downfield before having statue mallet run it in on a scramble. 35-14.

At this point, things got scary on offense. Nut is good. Scary good. Every now and then I would do something to trip him up, but often on the very next play he would adjust and get a huge game. However, he had a fatal flaw. He couldn't stop my offense.

Mallet threw only 9 passes, but completed 7 of them. The receiver with the lowest ypc was my TE, with like 20 ypc. Strange day on offense. If things went bad on one play, on the next one of Nut's corners would blow the press coverage and I would get a huge gain. The only time I didn't score was to run out the clock at the end of both halves.

That said, the picked toss was the deciding factor. What a game.

Actually I forced a 3 and out of you in the 4th, but I was too far behind at that point. Bottom line, I couldn't stop you, and I had my chances early by forcing some 3rd and longs. Not sure what my CB was doing on that long pass to set up your first score. Would have been an OT game were it not for the turnovers (3 by me, 0 by you), I wasn't exactly getting stopped either.
The fumble TD on the toss decided the game right there, made it 21-7 in 2nd. I've never seen a toss picked off in the backfield. I threw that pick at start of the 3rd Q down 7, didn't need to (2nd and 10, I could have scrambled for the 1st, hello Favre). Fumbled inside Snow's 10 yard line the other time, very costly. The one time I punted my WR dropped a wide open pass on 3rd down. Not my day apparently... gg Snow, you played a near perfect game.

Ya I the only time I stopped you was on turnovers . It was wierd how your wideouts dropped some pretty open catches. Maybe they are pissed you run an option offense?

On that first td what happened was you put your CBS in press coverage and my wideout just tossed your cb to the side and ran down the field. It happens sometimes. I think one of yor tds had the same thing happen to my nickelback.

If the week advances while you have any unused phone time, the CPU makes calls for you. Plus, unless you've intentionally tuned OFF auto-scholarship offer, auto-set visit, and auto add prospect, the CPU will do that for you, too.
