    Bowl Week 1 Matchups

    Emerald Bowl

    Arizona
    (7-5, 4-5)
    (VonSnoot - VonSnoot)

    Cincinnati (8-3, 4-3) (CPU)
Zona didn't look like they'd be here a month ago, but they bootstrapped their way into the postseason and have an extra game to impress recruits. Expect a defensive battle with the #8 (Zona) and #10 (Cincy) defenses in the land.

    Motor City Bowl

    Michigan
    (6-6, 3-5)
    (DocRowe - BuffTuba)
    Central Michigan (11-2, 9-0) (CPU)
Michigan wraps up a frustrating year with eyes on a big improvement next season with incoming talent. Don't snicker at CMU - they were 5 points away from being unbeaten and amassed 8466 total yards (#1). Neither team has to leave the state.

    Future Bowl
    Games

    Capital One Bowl

    #13 Georgia (8-4, 6-2) (CPU)
    #11 Iowa (9-3, 6-2)
    (CU Buffs FTW - sliderNcider)

Iowa may get QB Stanzi (probable) back. Iowa's three losses were to the #2, #3, and #4 teams.

    Holiday Bowl

    #12
    Colorado (9-3, 5-3) (CPU)
    #20 UCLA (9-3, 6-3) (rebel1414 - rebel1414)
No one rooting for the Bruins here. For UCLA, its RB Milton Knox (1204 yds, 14 TDs). Darrell Scott (1232 yds, 14 TDs) and Simas/McKnight (1000+ yds each) pace the Buffs.K Kai Forbath won the Groza Award (24-26 FG, 63 lg).

    Rose Bowl

    #5 Texas (12-1, 8-1)
    (CPU)
    #4 NC State (11-1, 9-0) (NevrSummer - SnowBuff)
A great game on paper, but does either team want to be here? Texas choked in Big 12 CCG and NC State was hoping for a rematch with South Florida. RB Toney Baker (7th in nation in rushing) vs. Colt McCoy (4038 total yds). SS Clem Johnson won the Thorpe Award (9 sacks, 2 INTs, 4 FF, 1 TD).

    Sugar Bowl

    #7 West Virginia (10-1, 7-0) (CPU)
    #3 Georgia Tech (10-2, 7-1) (Bradical28 - BuffNut99)
Tech expects to have QB Josh Nesbitt back (out 12 weeks). DE Derrick Morgan won the Lombardi and Bednarik Awards (19 sacks, 31 tfl). Tech has the #11 run offense and #2 defense. Mountaineers already at a disadvantage with RB Noel Devine out.

    BCS National Championship Game

    #2
    South Florida
    (12-0, 8-0) (CUwhit21 - CUwhit21)

    #1 Florida (13-0, 9-0) (CPU)
USF got their ticket, now face Heisman winner Tebow and #1 offense. Bulls bring #1 defense into contest. RB Mike Ford won the Doak Walker Award (1864 total yards, 25 total TDs).

    Oregon State
    (4-8, 4-5) (NMBuff - NMBuff)
    SEASON OVER
Jacquizz Rodgers (81 rypg, 7 TDs) was not the problem; QB Lyle Moeavo (4 TDs, 24 INTs) was. Fortunately, a 4* QB is set to arrive.
    Virginia Tech (4-8, 3-6) (chefBCS85 - buff4bcs1985)
    SEASON OVER
VTech don't lose any significant skill players, and with the #17 recruiting class they promise to improve next season.

    BCS Rankings

    #1 Florida 1.000
    #2 South Florida.994
    #3 Georgia Tech.986
    #4 NC State .986
    #5 Texas.972
    #6 LSU .969
    #7 West Virginia .966
    #8 Kansas .964
    #9 Vanderbilt.956
    #10 Oklahoma.953

    #11 Iowa .944
    #12 Colorado .933
    #20 UCLA .861

Well the big news is that Kansas upset Texas in the Big 12 CCG, so CUWhit21 gets to play the Gators for the MNC. Georgia Tech slid past NC State in the polls to #3 and will play West Virginia in the Sugar Bowl. Unfortunately, none of us get to play each other in our bowl games.

I can't believe m playing an 11-2 CMU!? That is ridiculous. I hope they like my switch to a 3-4. We'll see if they can handle Minor also. I'm guessing yes due to my OL.

    Good luck Gentlemen!

I want to encourage everyone to save highlights from your bowl games and post them online like CUwhit21 has (and include any highlights from the season as well).

CUwhit, could you please post the link and instructions on how to do this?

Also trying tofind a way to observe a game without playing in it, such as mulitple people being in an Xbox 'party' but only one person playing their game, with everyone else watching. Not sure if this is possible.

The voters are obviousy conveying the popular perception that your Week 1 win over me was far more "fluke" than any sort of barometer of who is better. The people have spoken.

It's really easy. Just have to set up your account at easportsworld.com. And make sure you sign up using your Xbox live name.

Get through your bowl games! I go out of town for two weeks starting Sunday. I'm gonna try to stay in the dynasty for season 2, but I'm about to get into my busy season for work. And unfortunately that means a ton of travel (especially between Sunday and the second week in January & February/March).

Recruiting is shut down until after the bowls. You should have gotten a few commits since your last game, though.

He was the leader going into the clubhouse, but Snow had two games left. My FS was in the mix as well (2nd or 3rd?).

    yes, but...
Against the CPU, especially against spread teams, you can count on 2 or 3 sacks/game from the safeties, EASY. not to mention a few tackles for loss. The INTs etc are just gravy.

Now, on to making Colt McCoy cry more then he does after Shipley refuses to give him the reach around...

I think my FS had 6 interceptions. Compared to your SS's 2, I'm calling BS .

Who gets 9 sacks with their SS? Maybe he should've been up for best DL.

I played tonight. Systematic destruction of CMU. Final score, 42-14.

I shut out the chippewas 28-0 in the first half. I don't think they crossed their 30. I also took a pick to the house. Warren stepped right in front of a pass and easily made it down the right sideline. Later in the half Warren muffed a punt deep in my territory but I promptly picked it off to end the scoring threat. I think I threw 1 pass in the first quarter

I started the second half with the ball and apparently fumbled it on the second punt return. CMU comes back to score twice on two broken plays. I pick them off again and punch it in. Drove again to run the clock and ended up scoring. Minor finished with 4 tds and over 100 yds I think.

Finished my game. Beat the Buffs by 20 I think its was like 41 21 or something like that, sorry doing off the top of my head. The Buffs special teams again sucked with allowing a kick return and a missed PAT and 20 yard field goal. The O-line was terrible and my D end got 4 sack and took a fumble for a TD. My kicker hit a 64 yarder and the buffs could not stop Knox. Great way to end the season but it was against a buff team that I hate to beat. Next season National Champs.

    Heres some highlights:

    GTech 41, West Virginia 17

The Mountaineers got both of their TDs in the 4th after I took my foot off the gas. Complete romp without the benefit of forcing any turnovers (while commiting 4 myself). I'll post some highlights soon. Tech now nervously awaits which Juniors go pro (DE Morgan? likely gone w/ 19 sacks. RB Dwyer? 900 yards/6.0 per carry, sat him out last 3 games so he'd stay...

Texas had scary speed on D, but couldn't handle the option. Wilson had some receivers make awful mistakes and got zero TDs for the first time this season, but Baker (CANT BELIEVE HE DIDN"T WIN THE RB AWARD INSTEAD OF THE USF GUY) went for over 200 yards and a few TDs.

The rightful winner of the thorpe award had a ton of tackles and a few more sacks, along with 4 TFL.

Defense had early let downs, but shut down UT in the 2d. exciting come from behind victory for my guys! Now, onward to another star of prestige!
