First mother****er to say Rudy is getting negrep.
"I love Brian Piccolo…."
Uncle Rico needs to be on this list.
Does this mean a fictitious football player character, or a football player who has acted in movies and TV?
If the latter, come on, man. No contest:
I was thinking fictional. But football player actors might be something to do in addition. Burt Reynolds, Ed O'Neill, OJ and a bunch more.
This has promise. For example I am hoping for a Naked Gun 44 1/4 in which a disgraced Officer Nordberg is in prison for a botched pursuit of a suspect in which his undercover Ford Bronco swerved and killed two pedestrians outside a Brentwood restaurant. A retired Captain Ed is able to get him a temporary release to help track down Frank Drebin's killer.
More to the point of this thread, though, I nominate James Earl "Boobie" Miles.
Spike was a juggernaut RB/LB combo. Myles Jack before there was a Myles Jack. Would accept arguments for Icebox as well, but I feel like Spike had the most upside.
Phillip Elliot (Nick Nolte) in North Dallas Forty.
Like you could neg rep someone
Burt Reynolds was good in The Longest Yard.
His neg rep is like pos rep from anyone else. The redbar inverse or something like that.
Thad ****ing Castle
I have 3 QBs to nominate:
"Steamin" Will Beaman
Johnny "Mox" Moxon
Paul "I'm a 40 year old freshman" Blake
Keanu Reeves was actually drafted in the 3rd round as a quarterback, but decided to star in the Bill and Ted movie instead.
With Nik here, gotta go with Phil "poot" Elliott. Joe Bob's Fine Foods, eat here or I'll kill you. Put that clip up later, took my ass 2 hours just to get out over Silverton. No wonder their firework show is so popular, good Lord, I moved a whole 5 feet in an hour. Anyway Phil gets my vote.
Starting CB, from Ampipe Pennsylvania, Stefan "Stef" Djordjevic.
Really hard to find just football action from this movie.
Paul Crewe... the Burt Reynolds version.
Lucy from 'Necessary Roughness'
Tae Bo's Billy Blanks as Billy Cole in Last Boy Scout. Can't load the clip now, but trust me, he killed in that role.
Wow, that one is pretty far from the truth, at least according to Wikipedia:
... Reeves excelled more in hockey than in academics, as his educational development was challenged by dyslexia. He was a successful goalie at one of his high schools (De La Salle College "Oaklands"), and earned the nickname "The Wall". Reeves dreamed of playing hockey for Canada but an injury ended his hopes for a hockey career. After leaving De La Salle College, he attended Avondale Secondary Alternative School, which allowed him to obtain an education while working as an actor. He later dropped out and did not obtain a high school diploma...
Hey. Don't call out Monk on the veracity of his posts. If he posts it, it's gospel.
