Of the first five conference games, these two are by far the easiest. Not to say we'll definitely win, but neither OU nor NU is anywhere close to the same as MU, KSU and OSU.
Nebraska gave KU all they wanted in Lawrence today.
It would be great to win both of these, but I would be ecstatic with a split.
we should win in Norman. OU is bad. but, road is a funny place. be the first CU win in Norman since 1981. NU played well today and have a gaudy OOC record....i'll take a split. but, both are winnable games.
Nebraska will be the toughest game and on their court, man, hard one to call.
OU is absolutely pathetic - we should have a win here. Imagine if we are 5-0 headed in tot he game vs. the Gheyhawks. Good chance we may be ranked to!
I just hope that CU fans have already sold out the CEC for that game so all those idots in Blue don't show up.
Not likely, unfortunately. I suspect the gheyhawk fans have already bought those tickets.
5-0 is very realistic at this point, but I really hope the team is just focused on getting to 4-0.
I was honestly worried about today's game after the two big wins to start conference play, especially the win in the little wormy apple. Didn't get to see the game, but from the sound of things they pulled it together enough to get the win, even not being at their best in this one...
Just looked at Nebraska's roster to try and figure out why they're playing so well. The have 5 big men who are 'foreign exchange students' or whatever. Three 6'11, a 6'10 and a 6'8". Diaz is their leading scorer, and they have 11 guys averaging double figures in minutes.
Going into the season I would have been happy with a split.
Now, it's different. I respect our team enough to say that I expect to win both of these road games.
I agree, these guys got to focus on one game at a time. And at this point I don't think any team is going to overlook Colorado.
NU and OU this week...thoughts?
Can we declare this week "goodbye ****tards week"??
Going to be tough one in Lincoln - Huskers are much improved and have some size.
OU is horrendous, should finally get a W in Norman
i agree its different... i am not expecting to win both... that said, id be disappointed if we didn't
A split sounds pretty good to me.
One at a time. NU looks like a big bruising team, with a lot of size and a few guys with speed. CU was able to get the road win in Lincoln last year. Lets see if they can go two for two.
I hope we pressure the dogpizz out of the guards -- make 'em make mistakes before they get it in down low.
That's what I'm talkin' about. We should win that game; the team should expect to win that game.
we gotta slip up somewhere. split. If we don't split at least, I'm gonna be heartbroken.
Keep the faith Luke. The TAD will be with you. What is this thing about sandwiches?
Damn its hard not to get too excited about these guys. If they can't get a split I'll be really disappointed. Just last Friday I was hoping we'd be 3-2 at best heading into the KU game, now 4-1 is the worst I expect. I love watching this team. I can't say enough good things about these guys
I think CU's offense will give Nebraska fits....and if the refs call fouls in that game we could make a living at the FT line
Oklahoma is young and losing has started to wear on them....if CU gets out on them early they could run away with OU
I think we win both
If we win at NE, we definitely win at OU. Nebraska has some real size. It'll be interesting to see how we try to negate that by getting rebounds against people we have no business outrebounding.
We beat NU twice last year, 72-60 at CEC and 81-68 in Lincoln. They're improved this year, but so are we. We're faster than them, better at the free throw line, and have a better shooting percentage. If we can rebound with their imported silos -- and we've done well with that for the past three games -- and keep our cool under pressure -- our last league game in Lincoln should be a W.
