Official Games Thread/Roll Call: CU vs Oregon State

i can't speak to Meeley much, but Chauncey's 2 teams were pretty good. not great. Vandiver played on the teams that got Tom Miller fired. Higgins lost A LOT of games at CU with BZ.

best CU basketball in the last 20 years was the Pelle/Morandais/Harrison/Blair Wilson team that beat two final four teams at the CEC--Texas (with TJ Ford) and KU (Heinrich and Collison). Morandais makes a FT on the road in Lincoln, CU is 11-5 i think in conference instead of 10-6 with an OT loss to NU. and then get the worst thing ever in March: Tom Izzo in the first round. that team could have done some damage if they didn't have to face the anti-Ricardo in Izzo. at 11-5, you are 5-6 seed, not 10 or whatever. also, have to remember the Big XII was tough tough tough then with Sutton, Self, Knight, Sampson, Barnes, Gillespie, etc.

I agree with Mick. The team with Harrison, Pelle, et.all was easily our most talented team in the last 25 years. On talent alone I could go along with the idea that they would have done some damage with a better draw. But, to me, the most striking thing about that game with sparty was just how much tougher and how much harder Izzo's guys played than ours.

One big benefit of beating Oregon State is that a person or two in the White House are likely to be paying attention.

Colorado sent a nice "Hello"
