Official NBA Draft Thread - Spencer's a Piston!

How do you pick a guy who averaged under 5ppg playing in Brazil? Maybe in the 2nd round on athletic potential, but not with the 20th pick. WTF?

Nikoloz Tskitishvili averaged 6.6 points and was picked 5th by the Nuggets.

It's like leaving the game to the refs decide, you can't trust the draft after a certain point. Thinking your late first round, you might as well assume you could slip to the 2nd or go undrafted.

Absolutely loved what the Nuggs did here. They wanted Harris with the 11th pick, but didn't think he would be there. They ended up getting him with the 19th. You also get a high risk/high potential player.

And as I was typing, Spencer doesn't go in the first. Here we go

Dre is basically playing the two for OKC. He'll need to improve his 3 ball to stay long term, but he's their wing stopper off the bench for now.

Yeah. I'm assuming the thought in OKC is that they have their 3 guys who will dominate the ball (Durant, Westbrook and the occasional play for Serge). So they're trying to fill the rest of the roster with athletes and personalities that don't need to ever have a play run for them to be productive and happy.
