On The Plane To San Fran With Distephano

Burrito Palazzo didn't live up to his promises. I think I need Buffalo Brad with me next time I want to get punched in the face without having to force some hot little chick to do it.

I'm not sure what to think of Buffalo Brad at this point. Where I'm from, what he did is supremely uncool. In fact, running to the top to show that you have information (army move...sorry BuffSoldier, but it is--I see it every day and just shake my head) is one of the deadly sins in Naval Aviation.

On the other hand, his wife apparently calls him "Buffalo Brad" during sex, which is pretty awesome.

Jury is still out...

It's all good. I've seen it too. It's the difference betwixt field officers and staff officers. Staff weenies do what you described. Field rats handle it at the lowest level.

I've suspected that's what was going on.

General observation (and then bak to this thread, whatever it is). Navy officers tend to be more lane oriented when working laterally...we're very sensitive about stepping on our peers' toes, and I've seen no such sensitivities in the Army. Flipside, the Navy folks are far more inclined to do some damage vertically, but the Army folk do not--they're quite careful about it. In fact, they completely defer to their CSM, which is probably the stranges part of this experience for the Navy Officers here...we're somewhat dumbfounded by it.

Just a few cultural differences.
