Our countdown of the Pac-12's top-25 players continues.

You can see the final post-2010 top 25 here. It doesn't, however, include players from Colorado or Utah.

23. David Paulson, TE, Oregon

2010 numbers: Paulson caught 24 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns.

2010 ranking: Unranked

Making the case for Paulson: The 6-foot-4, 241-pound senior earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors in 2010 and -- apologies to Stanford's outstanding troika of TEs -- he's the best tight end in the Pac-12. Not only is he an effective receiver -- see an average of 17.4 yards per reception -- he's also a tenacious blocker. The Pac-12 blog also has a warm spot for good football players who earn academic honors -- Paulson was one of just four players to be first-team All-Pac-10 and first-team Pac-10 All-Academic in 2010. Further, the Ducks are rebuilding at receiver and lack depth behind Paulson. That means it wouldn't be surprising if Paulson doubles his production this fall, which could mean All-American and Mackey Award consideration.

24. David DeCastro, OG, Stanford
