First of all, I will sadly eat my crow. This team had me believing again with improved play, but once again they **** the bed. And bring Cody in? WTF!!

This team fooled me just like they did after they beat OU in '07.

    How about these records...

How the hell would any coach survive this **** at any other BCS school?

    Barnett's record from 2001-2005 against the B12 North: 20-5
    Hawk's record from 2006-now against the B12 North? 4-14

Hawk has still yet to win a ****ing road game against a Big 12 north team in year 4! How the **** does that happen? Has Baylor ever gone on that big of a streak against tougher south opponents? **** Hawk!

    Its really embarrassing Unleash.

There's no logic to even keep Talkins around anymore.. Even the believers and pro-Hawk people see that now, except for maybe DBT.

Add in on your signature that Hawk is 1-3 against KjSU now..

And it's not like the North is in any better shape today than it was in '05... We fired a coach who had won back-to-back North Titles.

This program has much different standards today.

He has made cu a joke and he never has the onions to put any blame on himself or staff. 2-17 on the road. I'm seeing other first year coaches at programs cu used to throttle doing it the right way and actually winning and improving their programs.

Let's not pretend our North titles were earned.

Yet I'd kill for an "unearned" big 12 north title right now. Say all you want about backing into the big 12 championship game, we were having winning seasons and winning the big 12 north... now we are lucky to beat kansas at home. Forget about road games against anyone, even mid tier mac teams.

So they didn't earn a north title in 2001? 2002? In the case of 04 and 05, those other north teams should have won their games they didn't.

Let's not act like what we are doing now is better than "backing in" . Not even close.

Only referring to 04 and 05 b/c that is when Barnett got canned.

I am not saying we are doing better. Just don't get wrapped up in "Back to Back Big 12 North Champs". Nothing like winning the North, getting waxed in the Title game by OU and Texas and going to the Houston Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl.

Nothing like going 2-10,6-7,5-7 and 2-5 and being champs of nothing and getting waxed by less than stellar teams.

I've been one of those reluctant to call for Hawk's head but as the season goes on I am leaning more and more in that direction. I was at the KSU game and for me it comes down to how Hawk simply can't have this team prepared to play on a regular basis. Saturday was another in a long line of sloppy performances by this team. How this can continue to be a problem in his 4th year is beyond me.

This was another game where the Buffs beat the Buffs, not the opponent.

And now Hawk leaves the door open about who will start at QB next week? If Cody starts I am absolutely done supporting Hawk.

This mofo is the sorriest excuse for a coach I have ever seen. Boise St is the #4 team in the nation out the friggin WAC and our dumbass coach is fighting for the Big XII cellar. WTF? What a major error in judgement in hiring this asshat was by Bohn. I know Hack was a hot commodotity at that time... That's because he did a magnificent job of pulling the "wool over the eyes" of Bohn, us fans, and the whole CFB world in making us believe he was an upcoming coach that would succeed in the next level when in REALITY it was Peterson who the offensive genius behind them being succesful under Hack. The Boise St fans told us we got the wrong coach and were happy to see Hack leave, we (in our arrogance) just wrote them off as bitter fans who just lost their coach to a bigger, better, and BCS school.

Man, were we, Bohn, and all of CFB wrong. We were all fooled by the ultimate spinmaster. There are some here who believe it was all a conspiracy between Neinas, Bohn, and others to "hook up" DH by getting him the gig here as HC, but I'm not sure I believe that even though there might something to it. I just dont have any facts.

Anyhow, the hiring of Hackins has been the biggest mistake of the CU Athletic Dept since Chucky was brought in. The sooner Bohn fixes this major debacle the sooner his job is safe and CU can at least have the opportunity to succeed.

I can't explain it, but everytime I see that phrase now, I laugh.
I can only hope someone doesn't say it in a board meeting or interview where there's no context and I'm the only one wheezing and snorting and trying to stifle my guffaw.

    WE'LL SEE.

    priceless.

    See? only gets better.

    10/07/09 press conference, Dan Hawkins:
"Then all that stuff kind of starts seeping in there together," Dan Hawkins said. "That's why I say no story is ever totally complete, because you can look at the numbers and go, 'Well, here's what the numbers say.' You can also go, 'What about the other side of it?'
    "

    We'll see.:smile2::smile2::smile2:

I guess I'll stand up as the lone Hawk supporter. I really don't see the benefit of firing him after this season. If we fire Hawk know we are basically asking for another 3-4 years of rebuilding--why not let Hawk have a season in which we have a mature O-line, a more experienced QB (Hansen), and an improved D-line.

Neil - I'd love to think that more "experienced" QB next year would be Hansen, but as we saw yesterday, during this offseason with the QB "competition" and last year, the QB next year will once again be CH.

Hawk is just too damn stubborn to 1)realize CH has reached his limits as a QB and can't take this team any further, 2) realize he needs to stop jammimg his "system" on the players. As Greg Davis down here as Texass has shown, eventually you have to fit your sytem around the talent...not fit the talent into the system.

Yes, I hijacked some thoughts from Neill Woelk today, he was absolutely spot on in his criticism of Hawk.

    Going Deep....

I would take backing in and gettign waxed in the title game right now. Barnett owned the north 20-5 record his last 5 years against the north! His losses were to NU twice, Mizzou once, KSU once, and ISU once.

Why would you assume that we would necessarily be looking at another 3 or 4 years of rebuilding? That's quite a bold assumption when you look around the country and the only coaches that aren't succeeding more quickly than that are failures.

Besides, if Hawkins has put the program in such a state that after 4 years of him rebuilding it will take someone else 3 or 4 years to clean up the mess... then there's not way in hell we should let him do a 5th year's worth of damage.

I'm sorry, but come on. What makes you think our o-line are suddenly going to be better next season and that Hansen is going to have the experience necessary to get us going right from the start (schedule starts much tougher next season)? We never seem to settle on a starting five at OL and the coaches are fine with a QB rotation. In fact, they actually want to play Cody during no-huddle situations. WTF?

Hawk is about to go 4 years without beating a north team on the road, cause I don't see us beating ISU now. ****ing sad!

You mean like Washington and Iowa State are rebuilding this year with new coaches?

Please, Hawk is an incompetent fool. He needs to go NOW.

And who's to say he won't start his son again next season?

Does 'neil29fp' stand for 'I am Neil and I have had 20 face plants on a hard concrete surface'?? Because you are saying what even the most optomistic buff fans said LAST YEAR. Seems you are about 12 months behind everyone else.

All I can chalk it up to is that you are partially brain damaged.:smile2:

If you have a good coach, he should be able to have obvious improvement during year one and continue that trend. I think 4 years time may be fair to give but if the guy is a good coach you will see it right away and continue to see it. The talent is there to be a top 25 school. If you can't get this team ranked after a year or two, then you arent getting it done and we need to move on to someone that can.

Just look at all the good coaches out there, how many struggled at 2-10 and had no winning seasons their first few years? Stoops and Urb showed their stuff right away, and yes that is the standard!

We all are, even Nebraska. Boy. Losing to Iowa State at home - first time in 32 years.

Oh well, they have company. Their vaunted Volleyball program lost to Iowa State in Lincoln a few matches ago, also breaking an almost-forever streak.

:wtf: Who the hell here believes that? First time I've ever heard it brought up here. Are you seriously going to sit there and say that Bohn would hire a coach he knew was going to suck just to "hook him up"?? What the **** is in that for Bohn? Who is going to "hook him up" when his ass gets fired for having a football program that sucks?? (Not saying he will be, but it's certainly something he'd think about before making an intentionally bad hire...)

Your last line is true. You don't have any facts. Which makes me wonder why you'd even post something so totally illogical...

Wouldn't a new coach start with a mature o-line, a more experienced QB (Hansen, almost for sure) and an improved d-line?? Why would the new guy be rebuilding but Hawk suddenly entering the promised land we've been hearing for the last 3 years is just around the corner??

It's time for CU to stop wishing, hoping and praying for things to change and just ****ing change things....

I'm just too angry to discuss this anymore ... he's gotta go.

Hawk shows ZERO ability to manage the clock, manage gameday or manage enthusiasm on this team.

What good are these recruits, what good are Miller, Scott, Givens, Major, etc, if our coach can't take care of business on Saturday sidelines?

    He's lost out there.
