Polk out too, per 850 am

At this rate we'll be fielding an all walk-on team by the end of the year.

If you're a beefy looking young guy you better be careful walking into the stadium. They may grab you and dress you up in football duds.

I take it you don't plan on serving as a Grand Marshall for any parades in the near future.

Embree came in to a team that had a talent level comparable to a mid-level MAC team at most positions and a terrible attitude.

He then 1. Loses most of his corners, 3 of the top 4 before ever getting to conference schedule
2. Loses his best reciever and playmaker PRich, loses his other potential playmaker in Speedy.
3. Suffers a bunch of injuries on the O-line
4. Loses his best LB and defensive leader in Rippy
5. Loses his best athlete at safety now in Polk, along with the other safety Perkins playing the season at well less than full speed due to injury.
6. Etc. etc. etc.

The only thing that could have made this situation worse (knocking heavily on wood) would have been to get Tyler and Hirsch both hurt.

Embree knew that this job would be a challenge, I don't think anyone knew exactly how big the challenge would be.
