Projecting Next Week's Top 25 (CU mentioned)

BYU should get votes after beating Arizona in Arizona. Colorado and Toledo also had really impressive blowouts (vs. Colorado State, at Arkansas State, respectively).

This was truly not a road game for BYU. Friends tell me BYU was a decisive majority in the stands, confirmed here (2:1).

That is why I'm not stoked about Nebraska visiting us at Mile High. There will be more red in that stadium than Buff fans unless Colorado is nationally ranked.

Coaches Poll: http://www.espn.com/college-football/rankings/_/poll/2/seasontype/2/year/2016/week/2

(Edit: Oh sorry, guess same as posted USA coaches poll)

WTF is happening.

To put this in perspective, Mike MacIntyre achieved something not done by Eddie Crowder, Bill McCartney, Gary Barnett, Rick Neuhisel, or any other CU football coach serving since Dwight D Eisenhower was in the White House. While these other coaches led some mighty impressive CU teams over the last six decades, only Mike MacIntyre has managed to destroy CSU by more than a five score margin.

Stop it. The excitement is too much

No AP votes, maybe the coaches poll was just giving us the vote we rightfully deserved in 1990.

Edit: Scratch that.

S&P has us at 82. But that's still 90% weighted to where they projected us to be, which was 86. Dramatic improvement possible in next 4 games.

We got one vote in the AP Poll too:
ht tp :// college football. ap. org/poll
Other's receiving votes: Florida 117, UCLA 62, Boise State 50, Utah 43, San Diego St. 37, North Carolina 23, Auburn 13, Nebraska 13, Pittsburgh 7, BYU 5, Navy 2, Colorado 1, West Virginia 1

(I can't post links)

Sam Mckewon, an Omaha herald writer, gave us the vote. Wow.

No. 25 Colorado: And here we have a controversial pick. CU? The Buffaloes? Which has won 11 games in four years? Yes. Colorado, based on one of the most dominant wins of the weekend, a 44-7 rout of Colorado State. CU outgained CSU by 353 yards, won the turnover battle +2, converted 12 of 19 third downs — this was a good performance. Better than TCU and Pitt — even if both won. If the goal is to reward performance, and not some preconceived notion of goodness, then, through one week, Colorado is a top 25 team to me. They may drop out soon enough.
