    QB - Ben, Joe Flacco
RB - CJ2K, Matt Forte, Ryan Matthews, Daily Show
WR - Mike Wallace, Brandon Marshall, Wes Welker, Kenny Britt, Jacoby Ford
TE - Antonio Gates, Jared Cook
    K - Josh Brown
    D - Saints

Is what I ended up with in another league. 6 per TD, 2 WR+RB + 1 flex

Kinda hard to tell without knowing how big your league is.

There´s no reason to carry 3 QBs.

This is an OK thread. I thought it started off pretty solid, dragged a little in the middle, but has really picked up the last few posts.

I would give your team thread a C+.

I should have prefaced the pick with the fact that I picked up 3 QB's as trade bait, because the guys in my league drafted pretty stupid relating to QB's, and there are guys with just 1 QB, and one guy has only Manning as his QB. I'm hoping to use Colt or Kolb as trade bait. Unless my RB's get hurt, I won't need to pick up another back until the first bye week for them.

I like picking backup QBs with upside who could be used as trade bait (Bradford, Stafford and Kolb are my candidates here this year), but I am absolutely not sure if Colt is "rosterable" right now. I would *much* rather use that roster spot for a sleeper with upside at RB or WR.

No TE or kicker? Also helps to know how many are in the league.

I like Helu´s upside, but the other RBs are problematic IMO. Nicks/Austin is a nice WR combo.

The funny thing is that I had planned on going with Kolb as my starter, because I had the 12th and 13th pick in my draft. Because I thought I could pick up a good RB (Jones-Drew which I did) and then draft a solid QB at the 13 spot, however, someone drafted Vick at 5, and then the QB picking went crazy. I think there were 4 QB's picked up in the first round, so there went that thought of picking up Brees or Brady at 13, so I went with picking up Kolb late, while picking up my RB's and WR's in the first 6 rounds.

I get to my 7th round pick which was the 12th pick up, and Romo was still on the board, so I picked him up. Kolb was still available in the 12th round, so I picked him up as my back up, and there wasn't much to work with when I got to my 14th pick which was the last pick of the draft, and I had read up that McCoy could have a break out year this year, and he was really the only thing on the board that I felt like I could maybe get as a steal. So I went with it, paired with the fact that a few people didn't even draft a back up, and one guy drafted Manning without a back up, I figured if it did pan out like I wanted, and McCoy and Kolb were both good QB's this year, I would have positioned myself greatly to pick up maybe a really good TE, or possibly trade for the best Defense or even force someone's hand with a break out RB or WR.

Lets just hope that hind sight isn't 20/20 and my forecasting was spot on, and it plays out for me. I took a bit of a gamble, but there wasn't much downside as I think I have a pretty good back up in Ingram.

No worries my man. I took Helu as we instituted a new keeper rule for players selected after the 7th round. I took Helu in the 9th.

Free league with friends, 12-team, with Autodraft and first pick in snake style:

    QB: Jay Cutler, Chad Henne
RB: Adrian Peterson, Darren McFadden, Knowshon Moreno, James Starks, Pierre Thomas, Ricky Williams
WR: Mario Manningham, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Lance Moore, Jacoby Ford, Jerome Simpson
    TE: Antonio Gates
    D/ST: Chiefs
    K: Billy Cundiff

Any suggestions on what I should do here? Should I pick up a second defense and kicker for permanent spots, or just pick up as needed in bye weeks? I should probably get a permanent second TE option, right?

Company league, 12-team, last pick in snake style draft, kinda weird rules:

    QB: St. Louis, Baltimore
RB: Frank Gore, MJD, Reggie Bush
WR: Dez Bryant, Steve Johnson (Buffalo), Mike Wallace
    TE: Rob Gronkowski, Greg Olsen
    K: Cowboys, Titans
    D: Jacksonville, Atlanta

I have Gates also and I carry no backup TE, kicker or D. I think it´s a waste of a roster spot and much rather use those spots for some backups at RB and WR with upside.

Your top 2 WRs, Manningham and Nicks, are on the same team. I don´t think that´s ideal.

Agreed. Stupid autodraft. So when your D or K has a bye week, do you just drop them and pick up someone else? Or do you switch whenever you see a good matchup regardless of the week? As for Antonio, what will you do when his bye week comes? Just drop a backup to get a TE for the week?

I haven´t decided yet. Depends on how the season goes until then, but I hate playing matchups ... usually, when I have a choice, you can bank on me screwing it up.

If my D or kicker turns out to be really good and I think may not be able to get it back, I may drop a backup at another position .... if they turn out to be run of the mill, I may release them and roll with the replacement. I really don´t value those 2 positions much.
