Good article from Basketball Prospectus about the areas that are "over-recruited" and "under-recruited" in college basketball. I find it interesting that they mention both Washington & Oregon as under-recruited. I know Boyle's really making headway in California, but it'd be interesting to see if we can expand further north into those areas now that we're in the Pac-12 as well.

If I read the numbers correctly (and I suck at math, so there's only a 50% chance of that), then only 14% of Colorado's Division 1 players play at "high major" programs. The number for California is 20%, whereas Washington is at 30% and Oregon is at 40%. Now, granted, those numbers don't prove that "Oregon > California", as a lot of the smaller conferences will recruit close to home due to lack of money. Considering California has 412 D1 players, that obviously drags their percentage down, but it's still an interesting read.
