It looks like you're counting USC as a win, at least in the case of SJBuff's and mine.

I've got Spaceman Spiff winning. If you take his 2nd USC pick as a forfeit, he's at 45. If you take the first USC pick, he's at 43.
We've got to treat this the same way as a late entry with a forfeit pick. I don't think it's fair to subtract 12 points from him for a single game.
