Bobcats Set to Host NCAA Qualifier/Montana State Invitational

The Montana State ski team will host some of the top collegiate racers in the country this weekend at Bohart Ranch and Big Sky Resort as part of the annual MSU invitational, Jan. 10-12.

A giant slalom NCAA Qualifier will begin the weekend races on Friday at 10 a.m., on Big Sky's Tippy's Tumble. On Saturday, the MSU Invitational's giant slalom events will begin with the first run at 10 a.m., followed by the second-go at 1:15 p.m. The alpine portion of the meet will conclude on Sunday with the slalom races starting at 10 a.m.

All Nordic races will take place at Bohart Ranch, just north of the Bridger Bowl turnoff. The women's 5-kilometer and men's 10-kilometer classic races will start on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., while the 10K freestyle events will be held on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Along with the Bobcats, competing this weekend will be Alaska-Anchorage, Colorado, Denver, New Mexico, Utah, Westminster, Wyoming and Colorado Mountain College.
