Not sure how I feel about another Boise guy though, but welcome aboard
Maybe a Boise guy, but he has spent the last 6 years in the NFL.
Welcome Mr. Prince.
At least he isn't a direct BSU hire - he's been in the NFL the past few years.
Any clue if he can recruit?
Glad to have somebody with his experience on board.
i have no idea, but i saw an interview with him while on the seahawks and he seemed, well, bland?
I think this is a last minute hire just to fill the position. I believe Skyler Fulton (Intern/G.A. for receivers) is still helping so at least that's good to have him around still, even if it's on a limited coaching role
Does he have any ties to texas?
Would've rather had Gregg Brandon...
He'll be gone when Hawk gets fired atthe end of the year, so who cares?
NFL ties are never bad, I really wanted Beatty but Prince should do.
Well, at least it's a step in the right direction. I know, I know, ----- We'll See
No, you are correct, without the caveat. A position coach who has coached the position, and he has some talented young men to work with. I suspect we will see improvement from the wr unit this year.
This is a good addition to the staff. NFL ties, good working relationship with Hawkins and some of the other coaches already in place, and a recruiter who was credited with finding Ian Johnson for Boise State. All things considered, it's hard to question this hire.
Looking forward to seeing what Kiesau and Prince can do together. With this hire hopefully Hawk will get out of the way, just be a head coach, and let his assistants do their job.
When I first saw this my immediate thought was oh know, we just hired the former KjSU head coach..
Seems like a good hire but as Hawk would say WE"LL SEE.
 Ya I did that to.
He's only going to be in Boulder for about 10 months anyway, who gives a **** if he can recruit, or coach, or anything?
Hey a lot of things can happen in 10 months as a WR coach at CU.. Ask Slick Rick..
It will be interesting to see what happens if Talkins actually puts together a decent year next year. What will Bohn do about Talkins contract..
Hopefully let it expire.
Despite any dislike of coach Hawkins, he is going to be the HC for the next year and his staff is going to be responsible for lining up recruits. If Hawkins is gone after the season, the new coaching staff will have to try and hold together a recruiting class. It would be nice if there are some good players in it to hold on to.
Secondly, this is a guy who has good experience coaching WR's in the NFL. No matter what you think of Hawk, it might be a good idea to give this guy a chance. I'm very interested to see what he can do with the players we have.
Jacksonville, Atlanta, Seattle....hmmmm, not seeing any Pro Bowlers out of that group with the possible exception of Roddy White depending on when Prince was in the NFL.
I wish him luck, but history has shown that every BSU retread Hawk has brought in has been an unmitigated disaster - Collins, RIDDLER, Bandison, and the list rolls on and on...
I do hope Prince does well, especially withthe stable of receivers we have, but thanks to his new boss - he gets treated with the same "put up or shut up" skepticism that Hawk will be getting. It'll be interesting to see the depth chart when it comes out...
Give it a ****ing rest guys goddamn
well he has 6 yrs away from Hawkins and BS as a coach in the NFL. I dont think a WR coach in the NFL is what makes a pro bowl WR, it is the system that they play in. This guy will bring some knowledge as a position coach, we should see some much improved WR this yr......GO BUFFS!!!!!
I'll get hammered for this but I think Bandison is a pretty darn good coach. He may not be much of a recruiter from all accounts but I'd say he does a pretty decent job of coaching up former TE's, LB's FB's etc on the d-line. He's not the man I direct my anger at with regard to the Boise Boys.
