How exactly do you become academically ineligible? What GPA do you have to maintain?

Sounds like you have to stay in good standing in your program of study, which requirements differ by area. For example, the Business School might require a 3.0 GPA to get in but 2.5 to stay in good standing. I wonder though if you allowed to go on probation, cuz most schools allow a semester of that.

He got that zero GPA in the fall semester after he had already decided to enter the draft. Anyone can do that. The minimum GPA only comes into play based on your last completed semester
