Russell Joins LUV Graz In Austrian Bundesliga

GRAZ, Austria – Former University of Colorado soccer standout Kate Russell has signed with LUV Graz in the Austrian Women’s Bundesliga.

Russell, a 5-7 midfielder from Longmont, Colo., joins the squad after starting her professional career earlier this year as a reserve for the Boston Breakers in the newly formed National Women’s Soccer League (in which three other former Buffs currently play).

Russell joins two other Americans on the squad, Taylor McCarter (Arizona State, 2009-12) and Meaghan Dullea (Virginia Commonwealth, 2008-11). The Austrian Women’s Bundesliga is comprised of 10 teams.
