Should be fun to watch. It is going to be interesting to see how Fickell manages games as the head coach. His background is on defense and special teams, so I am thinking it will be a pretty conservative offensive gameplan. Also, we are sandwiched in a pretty tough stretch for them:
Non-Conference Preview: Colorado
I refuse to add The to their name.
Miami vs. OSU: The Sanction Bowl.
That's what I meant! rep.
24-10 Ohio state, would love to see the buffs win, but I think our offense really struggles against a good defense in that environment. Should be our only OOC loss though.
i saw a top 100 players list on one of the off-brand websites (don't remember which)....Ryan M was at about 65....Ohio State had 4-6 guys on the list. i still think they'll line up, be talented and deep, and play good D.
you never know, but i think Unleash is probably right. i would have guessed 28-13 or something. i can live with 2-2 OOC but i'm counting this one as one of the L's.
However, as badly as the Cal game got away from us.....i'm still bruised as per roadies in a hostile OOC environment. but i like us to at least show up.
Luke Fickell won't talk quarterbacks
I think we get creamed. 42 -3 or so.
Highly unlikely with OSU without Pryor and Tressel. I don't see us winning, but I would be shocked if Ohio state scored 30
On Vic and Gary this morning they had a writer from Ohio on the air. They asked him about the Ohio State team this year. The guy thought they would not be as good but expected them to be 9-3. Also said he felt Braxton Miller would be the starter by week 3 against Miami.
P.S. He also seemed like a bit of a pompous **s when it came to Ohio State. He implied that the cheating scandal was a witch hunt and that it really didn't seem so bad when you consider Miami. He is probably right because I am sure there are no boosters paying players at Ohio State .
Whenever i receive a transcript from them I cross out the "The."
*uckeye scrimmage. Ooooh, these guys sound scary.
" Braxton Miller threw two touchdown passes and Joe Bauserman had one in Ohio State's scrimmage Saturday."
" Bauserman, a fifth-year senior, took most of the snaps with the first team and threw a 10-yard TD to Jeff Heuerman but was also intercepted in the end zone by Travis Howard."
Huh. Sounds like they might use both this year.
Here's an article I found on Jim's little bro. You would've think he'd resign with Jim.
Dick Tressel says it’s ‘strange’ to coach at OSU

I'm a big fan of Luke Fickell's. His work on the Daily Show is excellent, and his role as a cop in the Hangover was ****ing hilarious.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State game against Colorado, Sept. 24 at Ohio Stadium, will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and it will be televised by ABC.
The game will be the first meeting on the gridiron between the two schools since 1986, a 13-10 Ohio State win at Ohio Stadium. The teams also played in 1971 (a 20-14 Colorado win at Ohio Stadium), 1977 (a 27-10 Ohio State win at the Orange Bowl), and 1985 (a 36-13 Ohio State win in Boulder, Colo.). The Buckeyes lead the all-time series with the Buffaloes, 3-1.
