SIAP...Harbaugh leaving Stanford (rumor)

So anyway, it looks like the 49ers it is for Harbaugh... I was actually kinda looking forward to seeing him at Stanford for a few more years. It would have been great for our conference, but maybe we can purge some of their recruits with him leaving. Any ideas who Stanford may target now?
 
Schefter is reporting Harbaugh to the 49ers. Schefter is usually pretty good, so I'll give this more creedence than the story about Miami that surfaced yesterday.

So the question becomes does this impact Luck's decision? After giving it some consideration, and not a small amount of pillow talk with tg's mom, I have concluded that the only reason Luck is coming back is to win the Heisman Trophy. That is a legitimate reason, and he'd certainly be the odds-on favorite heading into the season.
 
Wow, they are saying 5 years $25MM... Surely the Broncos could have came up with that over 5 years. I know they owe Mc/Shanny about $6MM this year but come on PB said money was not an obstacle.

Champ alone will cost around $14MM next year if they franchise him like they are talking about. I would rather have Harbaugh than Champ next year.

Luck has another week or so before his decision to stay is set in stone.
