against all logic and overcoming all effort to not allow it, i find myself with a tiny little kernel of hope.

it is there -- i can't crush it into oblivion. ... just a small, tiny little hope that maybe somehow someway, this game will be different than the last 3.

    logic hates me.

If it helps, different doesn't necessarily mean better....

well, i'm going to go out tonight and meet some friends. we're going to have some drinks. by the time the evening ends, if i squint a certain way, i will be morally certain that there is a path to victory for the Buffs this weekend.

then, i'm going to get up tomorrow, go about my business, telling myself that i don't care and that it doesn't matter. then, come kickoff, i'll be watching and that damned hope will come up to the top again, despite all efforts to squash it.

the sudden, brutal extinguishing of hope ala the first quarter of the fresno state game is so ****ing painful.

being the fan of the ****tiest team in college football is a burden. i feel like we're living the modern sports version of the book of job.

Ok. Bourbon goggles on. Tiny glimmer of hope appearing in my soul. Great. Something else to be crushed tomorrow. Probably 3 minutes or less into the game. Damned optimism.

Bummer for you. I have absolutely no hope of winning tomorrow. My only hope is we don't embarrass ourselves like we did vs Fresno.

It would be nice to at least enjoy at least a quarter of a competitive ballgame, but I'm certainly not getting my hopes up.

I have not indulged the slightest bit of help, nor have I even needed to try to supress it. I'm numb to hope. But I'll watch, just to get angry before I go out and knock ice cream cones out of the hands of children.

Zero hope. I think there might be a few high school teams that could beat the buffs.

We are going to get curb stomped. With that said, I hope the team takes all the negativity from this week and channels it into kicking some ass. Now is their time to prove us wrong.

At this point, I am optimistic to the idea that we'll beat the spread. Definitely not win, but I really want them to at least put up a fight.

I've got a list of honey do's to take care of today. Game will be on in the background.

Prolly get them all done in record time, since there will be no reason to stop and watch.... like Liver, I'm holding out hope for kernel.

no one's posted how we had Leach's number at Tech, yet? Ron Collins, magician DC.

all the blind optimism IS dead.

i thought we might surprise last week. we did surprise....but, not like i thought. i mean 55-7 at half. wow, surprise.
