I'm at stage 4. I'm depressed. All my hopes for a return to the dominant football machine that I experienced when I was a student at CU have been thown in the trash can along with a few gnarled pork chops, some coffee grounds, and some greenish fuzz that was growing on the inside of my refrigerator.

SUnday night, 1st half I was in 1. Then I quickly moved to Anger, and I am still there and will be there until Hack is gone or wins the 10 games he f-in projected but has since tried to talk his way out of.

I'm kind of anxiously awaiting Friday night to see what happens in game 2. I think that's probably denial, so I said #1....

I'm in the same boat, although I said 5. The fact that I'm looking forward to watching the Buffs again after the horrific event I witnessed on Sunday, makes me think I'm on the upward swing.

I'm still in the depressed stage. I thought the next few years would be our return to being a consistent top 15 school. I'm now depressed in the fact I don't believe it will be for some time.

I simply do not let the actions of 18 to 22 year old college football players have an effect on me.

I hit the upward turn this morning...I don't know how as I was quite depressed the past few days, but something about my wifes first words this morning of "lets go to the Blake Street Tavern to watch the game with other fans on Friday" sparked some excitement in me...I really think we can still turn the season around and can still reach some of the goals that many had wanted to acheive this season...

I am on the upward turn. I am accepting the fact that Buffs will probably never be a perennial Top 25 team again. There isn't enough community and institutional support at CU to get them there. Not to mention, not enough $$$

Next thing you'll be telling me that the lucky Kordell Stewart jersey I'm busting out on Friday won't be helping the Buffs beat Toledo.

I was at rock bottom of stage 1 immediately after the game - I almost threw away my Purify jersey.

At this point, I'm at stage 5 the upward turn because there's a game the day after tomorrow AND I just can't actually believe that we're going to be as bad as what the CSU game showed us.

This is tough though, another bad loss (and I say bad -if we drop a game the way FSU dropped one to Miami monday night, I won't even be mad because of the effort and coaching) with horrible coaching, effort & motivation, I may have to enroll for my MBA at the university of Florida just to have another team to root for)

I'm liking the Upward Turn - I've read that Ryan Miller knows he can do better, I've read that Cody recognizes that he's got to step up (no pun intended) and I am optimistic that our boy DS actually gets a chance to show what he's got.

I'm really not too upset anymore. I think that if Hawk can't get it done he has some pieces in place that when a new coach comes in then he can get it done very quickly. We have some really good young players, they just need some coaching.

I'm definitely in the depression stage. Also shock and denial that our next game is the day after tomorrow.

I am redirecting my attention back to the St. Louis Cardinals until the end of October. And a likely matchup in the first round with the Rockies, for that matter.

upward turn. they'll beat toledo. they could still have a good season. the margin for error is mostly gone and the time for talk is over. but, c'mon, we are talking toledo here.

I picked 5, but I guess it could be 1. We'll see Friday.

Before the season started, just about everybody felt that Toledo would be a more difficult game than CSU.

    just sayin'.

Nope the the actions of grown men who claim all kinds of BS and get paid hundreds of thousands if not around $1 million to produce a good product but consistly fail to reach expectations should.

Wow, that sort of sounds like our govt too, huh?

I get $hit on by my numerous managers and co-workers when I don't do a good job, and more than an occasional blunder will get me fired - so why isn't it the same for someone making literally 10x as much money as I do??

I hate to be a bandwagon fan but AFA is right across the road and they rolled 72-0 on Saturday...man, the grass sure looks green over there. <whimper>

Can't wait until Toledo. Hawk may sound full of ****e sometimes, but his analogy about "flushing it" is applicable to most any difficult situation. With a solid, winning performance on Friday, my full hopes for the season could be restored.

I voted 1. I'm still pretty shocked. Did not see this coming at all. I was a big hawkins supporter, but no longer think he can do the job. Told myself I wouldn't even watch the Toledo game, but I'm slowly coming around. I feel like someone died.

I am frustrated and angry! I am angry at this staff for doing so much talking and then put a half assed effort on the field like they don't care. Thats on the coaching.
