The Buffs soccer team (10-2, 2-1) will be back in action today at 3pm MT when they travel to Pullman to take on the Washington State Cougars (8-1-3, 1-1-1). The Buffs are on a 2 game winning streak after sweeping the Oregon schools and the Cougars are coming off of a split of the LA schools after beating USC 2-0. The Buffs will stay in Washington after the match to take on UW on Sunday. The match today will not be televised, just the live stats. Here is a short preview from cubuffs.com:

COLORADO VS. WASHINGTON STATE: The Buffs and Cougars have met three prior times. The Buffs are looking for their first win over WSU since 2010 (a 2-1 overtime win on neutral ground). Since the Buffs joined the Pac-12 in 2011, the Cougars have outscored the Buffs 5-0, including a 4-0 WSU victory in Pullman in the Buffs’ inaugural season in the conference.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
The Cougars saw their 10 game unbeaten streak end last week when they fell 2-0 to No. 3 UCLA. The Cougars kept the game scoreless for over 58 minutes, but two second half goals gave the Bruins the edge. WSU topped USC on Sunday to raise their record to 8-1-3 overall, 1-1-1 Pac-12. Senior Micaela Castain leads the Cougars with 10 goals and four assists. WSU has a deep bench, with seven players netting goals (including two substitutes scoring against USC), and 10 contributing assists.
