Soccer tries to extend its 2 match winning streak today at 1:00 at Prentup Field with what looks like could be a tough match against an old conference foe, the Iowa State Cyclones. (Sounds like a good match to bike to, as per the below linked preview article, "On Sunday, fans are encouraged to Pedal to Prentup as the first 100 bikers to arrive at the field will receive a free CU soccer t-shirt.")

From the Wednesday preview article to this weekend's matches (http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=210312140 , already linked to in a previous thread)-

COLORADO VS. IOWA STATE: The Buffaloes are a stellar 12-2-1 all-time against the Cyclones, including a perfect 9-0 at home. CU is unbeaten in its last nine matches versus ISU, holding an 8-0-1 record. Sunday will mark the first meeting between both schools since 2010, Colorado’s final year in the Big 12 Conference.

SCOUTING THE CYCLONES: Iowa State is 3-1 overall and will play a Friday match at Colorado College before traveling to Boulder. The Cyclones are led offensively by Lauren Roeling and Haley Albert- both have two goals each. Iowa State is coming off its first win against a top 10 opponent in school history, having defeated 10th-ranked Pepperdine last weekend. The Cyclones have shutout each opponent in all three of their wins.

Note- to update the above preview, per their website, ISU went to 4-1 after defeating Colorado College on Friday with the identical score that CU defeated CC a couple weeks ago, 3-0, with Medelberg, Wagner and Albert tallying goals in the Cyclone's shutout win.

1-0 ISU at the half. Buffs have had the balance of play, but haven't been able to get anything dangerous on net.

ISU scored on a breakaway pretty early in the half.

Danica Evans goal!!!!

1-1 in the 81st minute.

Goalie mishandled and Evans was right there to put it away!

Going to OT. Buffs are completely dominating action and putting tons of pressure on the Clones. But it needs to put the lotion in the basket.

Great work by Hooks on the goal as she was able to get a decent shot the goalie couldn't hold onto while draped by a defender.

We're going to OT. Buffs provided LOTS of incessant pressure the last 20-25 minutes of the 2nd half.

Buffs win!!!

Nice passing puts a Buff (I believe Greening? ) in a dangerous spot where she gets fouled for a penalty kick, which Hooks slams in.

That was a character-building win. Clones played a defensive, conservative match knowing they were out-talented. Once ISU got that early lead, the Buffs had to figure out a way to crack through. Took a while, but they made it happen late in the 2nd half and then put it away in OT. Very good win for this team.
