These teams are sooooo much better than us. Despite what those folks in TX might feed us, the move to the pac 12 is going to be a big step up. We better get our **** in order in a hurry or next year is going to be really embarrassing. I love the way stanford plays football.

Good news is, I think we can get it sorted.

No way. Lateral. Many b12 teams have kicked the crap out of p10 teams in bowl games the past few years. It's about the same. Some teams are up some years and some are down, but overall it's probably even over a five to ten year trend.

Cal and asu really stand out. Lots of hype and lots of flameouts, esp in ooc and bowl games.

i am mentally prepared to be a cellar-dweller in the pac 12 for a few years. we will be joining a new conference with a new staff and a new system.

but traveling to games that are geographically west of us is gonna be so much mo betta...i am ready for this change.

CU, with a new coach, can compete with asu, au and ucla and uu on a consistent basis. And now that the NCAA came down hard (wAy too hard) on SC then it might be up for grabs.

My take, based on more than just this season:

    USC > Nebraska
    UCLA < Missouri
    Utah > Kansas State
    Arizona State > Iowa State
    Arizona = Kansas
So, inside our new division, there is a significant bump up in competition within the Pac-12.

    Washington < Texas
    Oregon < Oklahoma
    Cal = Texas A&M
    Oregon State = Oklahoma State
    Stanford > Baylor
    Washington State < Texas Tech

huge advantage for the Big 12 in the "other division" level of competition. But we didn't have to play them all every season, we will play them more in the Pac-12, however.

Since we usually schedule pretty tough OOC games, the extra conference game (which is against the Pac-12 North) will be a "wash" most likely from a competitive standpoint.

Conclusion = OUR Pac-12 level of competition will be much better than where our Big-12 level of competition was.

We will be ok. There is some talent on the team. We have some gaps but we do have some players. And we have ok depth and a decent pipeline for now. The schedule is murderous But with good coaching and new fire I think it is very reasonable to hope for a bowl game next year. We just need to get rid of these dumbasses first.

I don't care what anyone says... The pac ten is way better than the big twelve. I cannot believe you have arizona (the 14h ranked team in the nation) equal to kansas, and Oregon is light years better than oklahoma this year. Oregon would kick the **** out of the Sooners.

I don't like to look at the outcomes of bowl games to determine which conference is better, it depends too much on luck of the draw for match ups and bs tie breakers.

Um, it doesn't matter where we play. We cant even beat division 2 teams. So, moving down does nothing for us. The pac 10 will smoke us just like the Big12 has.

Oregon did not exactly light up Washington today. While TCU smoked Utah.

Oregon beat Washington by a final score of 53 to 16 and racked up 522 yards of total offense.

Not sure how you define "light up".

I agree. The Pac 10 is much faster and they have much more complex offenses than the Big 12. We need to get our **** together quickly.

Overall Records the last 5 seasons and into this season today. Only changes I would make would be Oregon=Oklahoma and Cal>Texas A&M
    USC 60-13 > Nebraska 49-25
    UCLA 39-33 < Missouri 52-22
    Utah 55-18 > Kansas State 33-35
    Arizona State 37-33 > Iowa State 28-43
    Arizona 36-32 = Kansas 41-30
So, inside our new division, there is a significant bump up in competition within the Pac-12.

    Washington 19-50 < Texas 62-12
    Oregon 55-18 < Oklahoma 51-19
    Cal 46-25 = Texas A&M 37-32
    Oregon State 45-27 = Oklahoma State 44-28
    Stanford 30-38 > Baylor 25-43
    Washington State 20-49 < Texas Tech 49-22

I'm watching Standford with the lead using clock with running plays. What a ****ing novel idea.

I'll disagree on the Sooners. Over that 5 year period they have appeared in 4 BCS bowl games, while Oregon has only 1. Granted the Ducks are ravaging the college football landscape like a horde of Mongolians this season, but Oklahoma has been a strong top 5 program over the last decade.

Cal being better than A&M is more than a fair argument.

Stanford is a really good looking team. Too bad Harbaugh is a Michigan man, I'd back the brinks truck up for him.

Is he the architect of their offense, or is it the OC? I know some people have promoted their OC, Dave Shaw?, for possible HC at CU. If he's the one that designs and calls the plays, I could get on board with that.
