??? What hardware? The ones that Stanford crushes us in? I only bring this up because it drives me crazy when people say the same thing about CU...that it's a bottom feeder football program with no history and no "hardware". Hell, CU has an award named after a Stanford coach for ****'s sake.

Bump, did anyone see the stands yesterday? That fan base is awful and then being good is terrible for the conference.

And to think that stadium sat 85,000 before recent renovation....Stanford fans have always been that way. Best comparison is that they're the Pac12's Duke, except they've found big time recent success. Duke's stadium is neutral on a good day for them, and completely taken over by opposing fans on a bad day.

Not just recent. What's been unusual is that it was sustained. Stanford's history has been a run while they had a Heisman quality QB (Plunkett, Elway, etc,) and then a dip into mediocrity or worse.
