I'm not a big fan of running up the score, but at the same time I'm not one to complain about it.
Hopefully we'll be able to pay them back at some point, but it seems to me that OSU is doing this so get the recruits we are battling them for. It's going to be difficult to get recruits when we get ass whopped by a crappy team.
If you don't like the score being run up on you then stop it. It's not like we're talking about Oregon or Bama taking on an FCS squad here.
What Carolina said. Cry me a river. Make a play if you don't want the other team to score.
You're right. There were at least a dozen of FCS schools better than us last year.
I just hope we are in a position to repay the favor.
Meh. They were trying to make a statement. We're recruiting against them a lot right now. I'd hope Mac would do the same to them.
I have no beef with OSU running their offense. My beef is that CU played poorly. The honeymoon is over.
The OSU fans have been gracious hosts. Lots of friendly fans. No encounters with assholes.
If you are getting blown out by a bad team, you deserve to have the score run up on you
If this was Oregon I would understand why people would be super pissed. Losing has made us pussies.
It's D1 football, you play for 60 minutes. Don't like it? Stop it or quit bitching.
We got what we earned today. Don't blame Reilly.
Reilly's trick play call where the RB threw to the QB was stupid. Up 28 points and you expose your QB to potential injury. I would have thought the same thing if CU was in the same position. I did think going for a TD on 4th and 4 up 35 points was low. Hope CU is in position to repay the favor next year.
Dont mind them continuing to run their offense but it will be nice when we tag them back in basketball next year
Bush league comment. I did not see them running up the score. CU left their starters end until the end and kept going for it why shouldn't Oregon State do the same thing. Running up the score would of been kicking the FG on 4th down. I remember CU running up the score plenty in the days of Mac and Neuheisel - maybe this is our Karma.
Boo ****ing hoo. Man's game, can't handle it, find something else to do.
I thought it was weird the the starters continued to play for OSU, but not from the standpoint of how classy or classless they were. I just thought it was stupid to risk injury to your QB and your WR that are such an important part of your team's success, not to mention the missed opportunity to give your second teamers some meaningful minutes. I don't know what was behind it, but it was just kind of weird.
I'm with everyone else; if you don't like it, play better. At the same time, why would they stop running up the score when we are still going for it on fourth down and attempting on-side kicks instead of just running out the clock?
Thought about it. Too much effort my while driving.
If we got mad at every team that ran up the score on us the last eight years, we'd hate about 100 schools.
It's our job to stop that kind of thing.
Seriously? The honeymoon is over? I'm not one for "honeymoon" periods but you make it sound like your pissed at Mac after this. As for the running up the score thing, we got what we deserved. Gotta play better.
Watching some of their games, their defense IS offense. Literally. Normally, they can't play it at all. But we were anemic on offense today, but they're not a good defensive squad by any means.
We ran a on side kick with 13 seconds and down 33. That's pretty ahole of us.
Wow...overreact much? It's not like OSU has been burning down the house with narrow wins over Utah and SDSU lately. They've got a tough stretch coming, so I certainly don't blame them for trying to get going on all cylinders...
