BOULDER – University of Colorado tennis standout Julyette Steur has not begun her junior season with Buffaloes yet, but she is one of 54 student-athletes selected to play in the pre-qualifying round at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Championships beginning Sunday, Sept. 29 in Los Angeles.
Steur is one of 10 women from the Pac-12 participating in this round. She is the first CU woman to compete in the ITA Championships qualifying round since Kristina Schleich was invited in the Fall of 2011. Back in the Fall of 2006, Monica Milewski won her three qualifying matches over a two-day span to advance to the Round of 32 main draw.
