TCU and Oregon both end their regular seasons against the team that the other started the regular season against.

Oregon whooped New Mexico 72-0 at Autzen Stadium on September 4th.

While TCU edged out Oregon State 30-21 in JerryWorld to begin theirs on the same day.

Today, TCU plays the Lobos in Albuquerque and next week Oregon travels to Corvallis to play the Beavers.

Obviously, New Mexico is just a cupcake, but does TCU have to have an "Oregonian" beatdown to look impressive (72-0 type)?

Does Oregon State need to keep it within 9 points to make TCU look good in comparison?

With Auburn still to play a CCG and potentially lose Cam Newton at any time, these head-to-head comparisons could sway voters between TCU and a 1-loss SEC or Big Ten school for the BCS title game.

two factors i'd see....is OSU plays at Stanford today (a W there, it's on and UO could really help themselves with a W over the Theodore Cleavers) but get UO in Corvallis in whatever-this-rivalry-is called in Oregon.

Stanford rolls all over OSU and i think the UO-OSU game means less (outside the sometimes mythic "rivalry" throw out the records angle).

TCU names the score against UNM. as long as it's a 48-10 type game at minimum i don't see that working against the Frogs vs. the UO 72-0 game. UNM sucks.

I think what matters more is what LSU, Wiscy, and Stanford do in their respective games today. If LSU goes into Little Rock and wins today it's gonna be tough to keep them from over-taking TCU. But for a darkhorse among the 1-loss teams, Oklahoma State has the most to gain with tonight's game against OU and then the Big 12 CG if they win tonight.

TCU actually plays New Mexico State in Las Cruces, N.M. not the Lobos-

Good point on Okie State, they are 9th right now and beating back-to-back top 15 schools could push them up there, but they will need some help to separate from the Big Ten schools and jump LSU/Stanford.

Same goes for the Sooners if they win both, but more help would be needed.

That's Hawai'i, but the Aggies would probably be a tougher test for TCU (they beat the Lobos this year).

I'm going back to bed LOL-

I got confused because I have an 8 game parlay card on today's games and I took both
    Hawaii & TCU to cover.
