LAS VEGAS – Day four of the 2013 USTA/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championships on the campus of UNLV did not go the way the University of Colorado women’s tennis team had hoped as the previous three days, however, the Buffaloes continued to do well against the region’s best on Saturday.
Freshman Nuria Ormeño Ruiz played in Saturday’s quarterfinal round in both singles and doubles, but fell a little short of the semifinals. Ormeño Ruiz and senior teammate Winde Janssens fell in their main draw doubles match 8-5 to the tournament’s top seeded team and No. 18 nationally ranked team from Utah, Paige Miles and Michaela Berkova.
