TEMPE, Ariz. – For the fifth consecutive time in Pac-12 Conference play, the University of Colorado women’s tennis team battled a top-25 nationally ranked team and came up short, falling 4-0 to No. 23 Arizona State, Friday afternoon in Tempe.
The Buffaloes are playing in perhaps the best conference in the country for women’s tennis. CU has endured one of the toughest stretches of conference play in recent memory since March 14 with No. 1 UCLA, No. 4 Stanford, No. 10 USC, No. 16 California, and the No. 23 ranked Sun Devils, all on the docket.
The schedule doesn’t get any easier on Saturday as CU plays at No. 35 Arizona. The loss to ASU drops CU’s record this spring to 2-7 against ranked opponents.
