CU drops to 11-11 overall and 1-9 in the Pac-12 Conference, while Utah improves to 10-13 and 4-6 in the conference.

BOULDER – In a closely contested matchup, the No. 49 nationally ranked Utah Utes edged the University of Colorado women’s tennis team, 4-3 on Senior Day at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center, Saturday afternoon.

The match was moved indoors due to the inclement weather.

The 5-hour, 15-minute marathon ended with the Utes securing the No. 4 and No. 5 singles slots late in the match. They also won at No. 1 singles and took the doubles point.

A tough and close loss, with each doubles match very close, losing one singles match after winning the 1st set, and losing another in 2 tie breakers.

Best of luck to the team starting Thursday at the Pac 12 championships.
