those guys have gone over the edge. they used to be the most delusional, all-time optimism fan base around...but Fran broke them down and killed their spirit (no matter how delusional as to their REAL place in college football post the regional, all-Texas exploits of the SWC).

The thing about aggy is not only are they delusional, but also they have no idea what the **** they're talking about most of the time outside of anything related to Texas.

    Nice.

my experience is that all the former SWC schools are completely off-base when it comes to north teams. they have no idea, and don't care. they read the Tim Griffin's of the world and it's the bible.

especially, the "scandal" stuff. as one example. the SWC became untenable because of cheating (and no one really cared outside Texas), basically, and the Ags take the higher moral ground with us....when Jackie Sherrill was one of the biggest cheaters of all time. but, according to them...he was misunderstood.

If they meant that as, "another team to which we consistently lose," then I'm ok with that statement. Or maybe it has to do with the tortilla filled nails that get thrown at Tech games. :smile2:

I can't think of a single time that we lost to A & M in which we actually got outplayed. Last year (thanks Helfrich), 2004 (Purify fumbles in OT going in for win) 1997 - CU should have a perfect record vs. A & M since the inception of Big 12.

We're going to beat them within an inch of their life this year.

Hope they gameplan for that one. Would be real nice to see them plan on throwing for a lot against our DBs. It is definitely clear they have no idea the buzz saw they are going to run into at Folsom this season.

For any Aggies who may read this - I would consider this game to quite possibly be the easiest on our schedule this season. Wyoming will put up much more of a fight. Chalk this one up as a W!

I do think that A&M will be an interesting team to watch in 2009 from the standpoint that they have a lot of talent if you look at the recruiting rankings over the years. We will see if Sherman is the guy to turn them around. It is a critical game for the Buffs since it is at home and they don't have any real gimme's in conference play.

2004 was a bit depressing. Was there in Collie Station for that one. Even the aggy friends we stayed with were pretty shocked they found a way to win that one.

True A & M ran well that day, and one of their wideouts had a huge game, but Hessler threw a pick deep in Aggie territory in the closing minutes when CU had a chance to win. Not to mention we (Troutman) got stuffed on 4th and goal from the 1 earlier. I remember drinking heavily after that loss.

eATMe is always very talented. That's why it's surprising that they are so damn mediocre. There is plenty of talent to go around in Texas, that's for sure. UT, OU, aTm, TCU and many other programs stock their cupboards almost exclusively from that state, and there are still enough good players left over to come to CU.

In Big 12 play, and I believe overall records as well, the only Texas team we have a losing record with is UT. Always funny to hear A&M and even TT fans talk smack about us.

Remember the 2001 game in Boulder we needed a fumble from the QB late in the 4th to win. Our defense was tired on that drive and A&M was getting a good push up front. And then oops.... fumble.... CU recovers and returns it for a touchdown if I remember right.

I actually think our all-time record against UT is 7 -6

    Nevermind, I was wrong.... 10 - 7

As much as I voice my displeasure over CU's losing the last 3-6 years, I want so effing bad to steamroll all these scumbag teams and lay the beatdown on them.

I'm sick of CU being a joke to these turds. It's high time we come out and f**k these teams up.

Please. We could win 400 in a row and aggy would still think they're superior. After all, aggy doesn't ever lose, they only run out of time. Yes, they're THAT delusional.

Just read Texags during the season sometime. You will think you're reading the message board of a perennial national championship contender.

But now, at least in the blog link above, while there were a few zingers, most of the posters seem rationally depressed by their current state.

I've never attended a game in College Station, but from what I understand, the Aggies are the greatest hosts in the Big XII, and possibly anywhere. Yes, they're devoted to their football, and maybe a bit delusional. But, as well as they apparently treat their guests, I'm willing to cut them a little slack.

I hope to make a game there sometime soon.

From experience, I disagree. My favorite hosts hands down were Texas Tech. The Raid Raiders are completely distracted by their hate for the Aggies and the Longhorns, which was partially vindicated last year. The Tech fans were delighted to see visitors at their campus. The beers were flowing. Each fan encounter was an opportunity to hear how great Colorado is as a place to vacation. Even after we won in Lubbock in 2007, there was not one unkind word spoken. I was stunned.

I contrast that to my experience in 1996, 2000 and 2004 in College Station. In 96, the comment that sticks with me at the tail gate was "If it has horns, we don't like it." We got eyeballed and played with at the local bars and restaurants in the condescending way. Afterwords, the fans were too shocked to mingle. In 2000, my neighbor was an Aggie season ticket holder. We had been invited to their wedding. We pet sit for eachother. I rode down together with them in their Mercedes. They sat in the luxury boxes. I sat in the CU section. After the game, I was lucky to get a ride home. It was 250 miles of uncomfortable silence. My neighbors moved away and we've heard little from them sense. I tried again in 2004. This was the overtime defeat. After the game, I was offered a beer and given a little respect for being a CU fan. But had CU won, I have no doubt the beer wouldn't have been offered.

I'd even put the Aggie game day experience below Baylor. Still, the Aggie game day experience is better than what you get in Austin.
