The dangers of Koolaid...

  • Kool Aid is sugary drink produced by Kraft Foods that has a subtle psychotic effect on consumers
  • "Kool-Aid" is what one drinks metaphorically, in the context of a political or sports campaign, when faced with an unrealistic belief that a loss was impossible.
  • "Drinking the Kool-Aid" refers to a person or group holding an unquestioned belief, argument, or philosophy without critical examination.
  • Following consumption viewing certain media or sports themed entertainment can cause severe depression, sudden bouts of anger, and feelings of suicide due to delusional effects of compounds contained within Koolaid
  • Is also known for its effectiveness at killing off cults.
  • Turns your stool a variety of different colors
  • PKSD (Post Koolaid Stress Disorder) is a syndrome identified and associated with the above.
  • Friends, companions, pets, TV remotes, and neighbors must carefully weigh intervention or seeking shelter when coming into contact with an individual suffering from PKSD
  • Kool Aid was invented in Hastings, Neb

Dear friends, please use caution when drinking Kool Aid.

There are 2 things to like about the UCLA matchup:

1) They have been hit hard by injuries and their OL is now a hot mess

2) P-Rich is extra motivated to play his former team in front of his friends/family in LA

There's also a lot to not like, but if you're looking for reasons to have some hope, those are good ones.

Post-game, I'd say that #2 drove the team (especially the offense) to a much higher intensity and was the reason the Buffs had a puncher's chance into the 4th quarter.

But #1 was not taken advantage of in the least. A lot of credit to Hundley for making the right reads, sliding well in the pocket and being a bitch to tackle, but as HCMM said in his post-game presser: CU has got to figure out some schematic and technique things to help the defense bring pressure while only bringing 4. Maybe some zone blitz is coming? I don't know. But no defense is going to hold up against Pac-12 passing games if the QB has 3 or 4 seconds to read the field and deliver the ball.

One thing I'd like to see out of CUD is a little more perseverance with his pass rushing. A number of times it seemed like if he did not get to Hundley with his initial speed rush, he would basically stop on the play. It seemed like there were some opportunities for him to loop back behind the QB and still disrupt the play.
