I remember that final play like it was yesterday. I know exactly where I was and what I was doing. Simply awesome.
Yea ^ me too. That was an allsome feeling.
I feel obligated to leave this here.
Man, that team was sooo good.
we had size and speed back then
1994 was the highwater mark for CU Football - even with the loss to NU (which should have never happened). It has been nothing but downhill slide (sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly) ever since minus 2001 under GB
Philly needs to tell his story for old times sake.
Ditto, but man do I feel old.
were you even born?
Yeah I was 2
Buffs had 11 penalties to 1 for mich in that game, overcame a fumble with 5 and change at michigan 1 yd line and still pull out the win. One of the best buff moments for me.
I was in the MI Athletic Directors box and had to be removed. For some reason they did not like a 20 something yelling and screaming while everyone else was crying.
I am in the video at 4:13. White Colorado T-Shirt, blue backpack, big ass glasses and the flowing hair. I don't have any of those any longer. Man, what a day that was. Westbrook caught the ball right in front of us. I was screaming my head off before he ever hit the ground.
I just reread Stuart Whitehair's recount and got goosebumps all over again. And then I watched the video and teared up a little. **** yeah! I remember exactly where I was.
Listening to Moeller's review of the game shows a highly delusional coach. His guys made plays, CU kept getting lucky was the theme of the clip. He complimented us as a good team once or twice but also emphasized all the breaks we supposedly got but apparently the 4 turnovers we gave them were no big deal.
No wonder the dude is out of coaching. Well that, and a little episode at an Ann Arbor restaurant...
Far less depressing than the 18th anniversary.
HEE! I was up in the longtime season ticket holders section. It was REAL silent! Way down below was this little section of CU faithful...... Going Frikin Wild! HA! Never forget it! Can't wait for that buzz again! It will happen!
So do I. I was standing on the sideline in Michigan Stadium with a perfect view of the victory.
Very jealous of missing those two in person. Thankfully I did at least get to the 2007 OU win. That one was also very special.
I still can't believe how far he threw that ball, wow. Looks like he released it around the 27 in the middle of the field, it ended up by the hash. That was a cannon shot.
