So it is pretty clear that Embree is the HC and he wants EB to come with as the OC.

I dont know how much Embree was making as TE coach in DC but chances are he will be making something like 1.5mm/year as HC now. EB is currently making ~$700K.

So obviously they would both be getting one of the 6 long term contracts... My guess would be 4 years?

Bohn said they could shell out $2mm/year for a HC. Might they lower Embree's salary a bit to get EB to come along too? Maybe make his pay just slightly lower than Embree's and give EB the Asst. HC title?

I am sure this was all discussed in their interviews but I am trying to figure out how Embree planned on getting EB to come with him as the OC.

In the past everyone's favorite Embree source has said Embree and EB had an agreement that if either one of them got the CU HC gig that the other would join the staff as OC. Also has been said that Embree would take less money in order to get a great staff so your theory would make sense.

That is what I am assuming/hoping. In the long run, I dont know if it makes much difference which one gets the head job, as long as both are here. I by far prefer EB, but I think where EB lacks in X's an O's Embree makes up there. Same goes for recruiting, Where Embree lacks in recruiting EB can make up for that.

The biggest thing though is who is on that staff and if the one leaked the other day can be real. If so, I am down, but if we get anything short of that it may be rough.
