Updated CU Football Roster Published

Worth keeping in mind that it is a roster, not a medical report.

I have never known a team that is completely honest in terms of measurements on a roster, some are much worse than others.

Some take the numbers off the data kept by the S & C coaches and are pretty close. These though can substitute "targets" for actuals.

Others just have the kids fill in a sheet for the media relations guy and go with what the kids say.

In each case they may "modify" numbers for a variety of reasons. If a kid is light for his position they move him up to not call attention to his lack of size. Other times they might want to promote a kid as a pro prospect and he suddenly grows an inch or three. If a kid is overweight they might list him closer to where they want him to motivate him to lose a few pounds.

Bottom line, while any news during the off-season is welcome and the roster is fun to look at we shouldn't read to much into it.

I hope and believe that we will be a stronger, faster team this year than we were last year and much more than 2-3 years ago but the proof of that will be when fall camp opens, not a roster posted on the AD website.
