To those few who are going -- hope you have a blast. One of the few things I've missed since moving out here is road trips to VT's football games. I love visiting other campuses, the anticipation of the road trips, seeing the stadiums, hearing the cheers and songs, thinking about what it would be like to be a student/alumni there, viewing the scenery and watching my team try to pull off a road win.

Have a great time, represent well (both in the tailgate and the stadium) and Go Buffs! Nothing shows fan dedication more than showing up at a road game during a tough season. Maybe in two years I'll be assimilated enough into this Colorado lifestyle to make the trip with you.

That's one of the disadvantages of living in the west. The closest big city is 3.5 hrs away from Albuquerque and that's El Paso. It's 6-7 hours to Denver or Phoenix.

When I went to visit a buddy who lived in DC I could see the easy access to many places without paying a lot for a plane ticket. A buddy came down to visit me from NYC and it took him about 4 hours. Given my perception of how far things are, I thought it would be an all day trip. Crazy.

Shouldn't take 2 years, Hokie. January. 1st is right around the corner.

I've done New York back-and-forth in a day before.
