The Denver Post has reported that Valor Christian quarterback Brock Berglund, who was the highest rated commitment in the Buffaloes 2011 recruiting class, has decommitted from Colorado in order to join the Turner Gill and the Kansas Jayhawks.

According to Berglund,

"Some of the changes in scheme and personnel are clearly different from my recruitment, and even though they may be in the best interest of the program, they do not represent the best fit for me personally," Berglund said in a statement.

Kansas, Berglund said, was "a better fit."

Thought to be a solid commitment after new head coach Jon Embree made his first recruiting visit to Berglund's home, his change leaves a big hole in the Buffaloes recruiting class and the new staff scrambling for options to replace him. This leaves the Buffs with just four commits for the 2011 class and the coaching staff scrambling to find a replacement for the talented quarterback.
