"This is all about dollars," said Gary Sherrer, vice chairman of the Kansas Board of Regents. "Frankly, I think some of those institutions should be embarrassed that that is the message they are delivering. It says we'll do anything for a buck, and when you send that message to the students, why are we surprised that they do things that we don't approve of to get a buck."

And if Kansas was offered a seat at the table..they would be chasing the dollar as well.
 
Considering the scandals they've had recently, this dude should shut the **** up.

yep. i suspect ucla would strongly prefer not let ku join their club. they don't like bb programs that they view as less "upstanding" than them.
 
This is stupid. Colleges are playing sports against someone each season. Might as well make money doing it right? He acts like his school doesn't charge extremely high season tickets for the basketball team or that they accept donations from boosters. Get real
