The volleyball team (13-6, 5-4) will host Arizona State (13-8, 2-7) today at 4pm in Boulder. The Buffs have won their last 2 matches by sweeping Oregon State and Arizona, while ASU is on a 6 match losing streak. Before Sunday’s match, the Buffs will host a free trick-or-treat street on the concourse from 3-4 p.m. with student-athletes from different sports handing out candy as well as other games and activities. The match will be streamed from the Pac-12 Network for subscribers. Here is a preview from cubuffs.com:

Arizona State is 13-7 this season and 2-6 in the Pac-12, which includes a 0-3 record on the road against league opponents. Last weekend, the Sun Devils lost a pair of matches at home to No. 1 USC and UCLA, both in three sets.

Macey Gardner ranks second in the Pac-12 with 4.51 kills per set this season, while BreElle Bailey is the second best hitter on the team with 2.71 kills per set. Whitney Follette is attacking at a .354 clip for the Sun Devils with 112 kills and 25 errors on 246 attacks. The team is hitting .220 with Bianca Arellano handing out 10.60 assists per set.

Defensively, ASU is led by Becky Defoe, who is sixth in the Pac-12 with 4.35 digs per set. Arellano is second on the team with 2.92 digs per set. The Sun Devils are led by Follette at the net. She is averaging 1.18 blocks per set this season, which is eighth in the Pac-12.

ASU has a 4-1 lead in the all-time series against the Buffs. CU’s win came last season in a thrilling five-set come-from-behind victory at the Coors Events Center on Oct. 12.
