Buffs are now 14-9 (4-8). Tonight's win pulled the Buffs even with Oregon for 9th in the conference.

Important to get the road win.

Also important is that it was a road win over a Top 100 RPI opponent that jumped CU's RPI to 74.

Coming up this week at home:

Friday, 6:30pm - Washington (13-10, 6-6, RPI 92)
Sunday, 1pm - Washington State (12-12, 6-6, RPI 81)

This is an opportunity for 3 wins over RPI Top 100 this week.

Buffs can climb to 16-9 (6-8). RPI would likely go into the 50s. And we'll be favored to do it.

That would leave the last 4 games of:

@ #15 Arizona State (CU had them beat before losing by 2)
@ Arizona (really bad team this year)
vs UCLA (beat them in LA)
vs USC (lost in LA in what was the worst performance all year by CU)

Buffs may need to run the table. It's there for the taking.

A much needed win!
Although it was frustrating to see them yet again give up a decent lead, it is encouraging to see that they didn't play sloppy at the end and didn't fold...that they made some baskets late, they cranked up the defense to get the needed stops in the final minutes, and, when fouled with under 30 seconds to go and a tiny lead, they made all 4 of their free throws.
We need to remember that Oregon, as a team, is leading the NCAA WBB stats in average points scored per game, has the leading freshman WBB scorer in the country and has the leading WBB rebounder in the country. CU, playing on the Ducks home court, held the Ducks to about 20 points below their average and out-rebounded them 54 to 41.

Definitely needed the win, but why does this team keep giving up leads? Thankfully, at the end of the game, when Oregon had to foul, Brittany and Ashley Wilson each hit 2 FTs to ensure the victory.

Anybody know if Lauren Huggins is injured? She didn't play at all in either game in Oregon.

Very, very nice win for the Buffs. They really need to win the games against the teams that aren't more talented than they are.

At this point it's hard to imagine they could get their rpi back into the 30s which is where it needs to be to get an at-large bid. Now the WNIT is a possibility.
